The Lenovo Global Future Leaders Program is a highly selective program designed to develop Lenovo's next generation of business and technology leaders. In This Global Future Leader Role, You will act as an AI Strategy & Innovation Specialist

Role Overview

The AI Strategy & Innovation Analyst role supports Lenovo's North America Customer Excellence Center (CEC) by exploring how emerging artificial intelligence technologies can drive smarter decisions, stronger customer outcomes, and next-generation business strategies.

This is not a traditional analyst role. You will have the opportunity to explore, experiment, and build—translating emerging AI trends into practical business applications and data-driven insights. You will work across teams to identify business challenges, evaluate AI tools and technologies, develop analytics solutions, and help turn AI strategy into executable initiatives.

The role is designed for curious, analytical, and tech-forward early-career professionals who want hands-on exposure to AI transformation while working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging AI tools and technologies that can advance the CEC's capabilities and competitive position.
  • Design and implement AI-powered data analytics solutions that generate actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and develop AI-driven strategies and recommendations.
  • Build dashboards, models, and reports that clearly communicate AI-generated insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the team's AI roadmap by researching emerging technologies, benchmarking industry trends, and proposing new AI use cases.
  • Support the integration of AI tools into existing workflows and help teams adopt and scale new technologies.
  • Stay current on developments in generative AI, machine learning, and data analytics and bring new ideas and potential applications to the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to translate AI strategy into practical, executable initiatives.

Job Requirements: Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Genuine interest in AI and its practical business applications, with curiosity around emerging technologies and new AI tools.
  • Foundational knowledge of data analytics concepts and tools such as Python, SQL, Excel, or similar technologies.
  • Experience or familiarity with data visualization platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data into clear and compelling business insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across functions and teams.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, or generative AI concepts.
  • Experience experimenting with AI tools or applying AI to academic, internship, professional, or personal projects.
  • Experience using Python, SQL, Excel, or similar data analytics technologies.
  • Experience developing dashboards, models, reports, or data visualizations.
  • Interest in AI strategy, innovation, customer experience, business transformation, or emerging technologies.

GLF Program Requirements

  • Currently completing or recently completed a degree from an accredited university (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD).
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through academic, professional, internship, or community involvement.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across global teams.
  • Ability to think strategically, manage ambiguity, and execute with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed (approximately 10–20%).
