About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Applications will be accepted until 10/12/2026.

*Please note for the right person, we would consider a fully remote employee*
*Please only apply if you have some of the UX skills listed, this is a combination UX/AI/Agentic Engineering role*

The Experience:

We’re hiring a senior engineer for a rare systems-to-interface role: someone who understands data-intensive and distributed systems deeply, but is equally motivated by information design, visualization, and UX. This person will own both control-plane and telemetry experiences in a world where agents increasingly do the work and humans need to understand what happened, recognize when to engage, and make high-quality judgments. It’s a hands-on role for someone with a point of view about agent versus human interaction, human-in-the-loop design, auditability, and how to make complex system behavior genuinely clear.

This is someone who can reason deeply about data-intensive, distributed systems and translate that backend complexity into intuitive, high-trust human interfaces.
In an agentic world, control planes are shifting from rigid step-by-step workflows to intent-driven supervision. We need an engineer with master-level information and interaction design instincts who can rethink how humans direct, govern, observe, and intervene in AI-agent activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Control-Plane & Telemetry Surfaces: Architect and build domain models, APIs, and high-density visual interfaces for intent expression, agent supervision, and anomaly diagnosis.
  • Information Architecture & Visualization: Apply core information design principles (hierarchy, progressive disclosure, small multiples, data provenance) to make high-dimensional, temporal, and non-deterministic system state instantly understandable.
  • Interaction Design for Human-Agent Systems: Design interactions, feedback loops, and state-reversal mechanisms for automated workflows. Define micro-interactions, sensible default states, and clear affordances for human oversight.
  • Human-in-the-Loop Frameworks: Intentionally balance synchronous approvals, asynchronous audit trails, and automated guardrails based on risk, uncertainty, and reversibility.
  • UX Prototyping to Production: Rapidly prototype new interaction models, evaluate them against technical constraints, and ship production-grade code that raises the bar for explainability and usability.

You're Our Person If:

  • Systems & Platform Engineering: Deep understanding of distributed architecture, state management, consistency, asynchronous failure modes, and observability.
  • Advanced UX & Information Design: Strong proficiency in information architecture, interaction design, and data visualization. Familiarity with design thinkers like Edward Tufte, Bret Victor, Tamara Munzner, or Ben Shneiderman.
  • Full-Stack Execution: Ability to work across backend system concepts (events, policies, lineages) and craft fine-grained user experiences in code.
  • AI-Native Product Thinking: Expertise designing interfaces for agentic execution beyond simple chat/copilot flows (focusing on delegation, governance, context-awareness, and trust).
  • Nuanced Interaction Design: Mastery of friction vs. fluidity—knowing precisely when to insert a confirmation step, how to show system causality, and how to represent uncertainty clearly.

Even Better If:

  • Experience building developer platforms, observability systems, control planes, or investigative analytics tools.
  • Background in human-computer interaction (HCI), design systems, or data visualization for enterprise/safety-critical software.
  • Track record of building tool-using AI models, agent supervision interfaces, or zero-to-one developer tools.
