AI & Innovation Lead, G&A

Sanity•Published 2 hours ago•First seen 2 hours ago

At Sanity, we’re building the future of AI-powered Content Operations. Our AI Content Operating System gives teams the freedom to model, create, and automate content the way their business works, accelerating digital development and supercharging content operations efficiency. Companies like SKIMS, Figma, Riot Games, Anthropic, COMPLEX, Nordstrom, and Morning Brew use Sanity to power and automate their content operations.

In this role, you’ll join the Finance team as the AI & Innovation Lead, G&A, reporting to the CFO. You’ll sit in Finance with a dotted line to our Director of Systems Engineering. This role sits at the intersection of G&A operations, data, workflow automation, and AI. You bring the domain depth: you know how G&A teams actually work, where their processes and systems break, and which manual work eats their week. You’ll start with Finance, then quickly extend into People and the rest of G&A. You’ll prototype the fix yourself, vibe-coding agents, apps, and workflows on Sanity’s own platform and AI tools. Systems Engineering and the Data team back you on architecture, security, and production hardening, so your ideas become systems the business can rely on. If you’re a G&A operator who has already started rebuilding your own work with AI, and you want to do that for an entire G&A organization, this role is for you.

What you would do:

  • Shape and execute on the AI first transformation roadmap for G&A: map where G&A teams lose time, and decide what to build, buy, or automate first.
  • Run intake, prioritization and stage-gates for the G&A transformation portfolio, with clear owners, decision rights and a regular exec review cadence
  • Prototype agents, apps, and automations yourself on Sanity’s platform and AI tools, then partner with Systems Engineering to take the ones that work to production.
  • Translate G&A processes into clear specs and prototypes for engineering: data flows, system of record, controls, edge cases, and what “done” looks like.
  • Build for trust through controls, audit trails, access management, data quality, and human-in-the-loop review, so G&A teams and auditors can rely on what you ship.
  • Partner with the Data and IT teams on the G&A systems and data infrastructure, connecting the systems G&A and our data warehouse together.
  • Drive adoption across G&A: train teams, document the paved paths, and help each function run more of its own work with AI and retire legacy manual processes.
  • Measure impact through hours saved, cycle times, error and exception rates, adoption, AI evals, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Help shape the practices and culture of a young Systems Engineering team with a strong bias toward practical impact.

About you:

  • Remote in North America (SF preferred).
  • Deep G&A domain knowledge, ideally 8+ years in Finance, Accounting, People ops, or business operations at a software company.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI to G&A work, for example leading an AI program for your function, automating a core process, or building agents for your own team.
  • Comfortable building prototypes with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar). You don’t need to be a software engineer, and you’re not afraid of a terminal.
  • Understands APIs, data flows, and how G&A systems connect: what moves between the ERP, HRIS, CRM, contract tools, and warehouse, and where it breaks.
  • Excited by AI as an operating model, including agents, tool use, structured context, prompts, evals, and automation.
  • Cares deeply about controls, accuracy, auditability, and systems G&A teams can confidently rely on.
  • Program management strength: you can run a cross-functional roadmap, align stakeholders, and land change with teams that are busy running the business.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to turn loosely defined business problems into shipped solutions.
  • Clear communicator who can explain G&A processes to engineers and technical tradeoffs to G&A teams.

Nice to have:

  • Finance or accounting background
  • Hands-on with G&A systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, an HRIS, and a data warehouse like BigQuery.
  • Experience across more than one G&A function.
  • Built or ran a G&A transformation, systems implementation, or migration.
  • Background in program management, change management, or enablement for internal tools.
  • Experience working at a high-growth or multi-entity company, ideally across the US and Europe.

What we can offer:

  • A highly-skilled, inspiring, and supportive team
  • Positive, flexible, and trust-based work environment that encourages long-term professional and personal growth
  • A global, multi-culturally diverse group of colleagues and customers
  • Comprehensive health plans and perks
  • A healthy work-life balance that accommodates individual and family needs
  • Competitive stock options program and location-based salary
  • Salary Range for SF: $165k - $180k annually. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skill set.
