Advisory Strategist, Cloud Transformation Office

Job Overview

The APAC Cloud Transformation Office is seeking an Advisory Strategist to drive Broadcom’s Infrastructure Software Group (ISG) portfolio across our highest-value enterprise accounts in Japan and the broader APAC region.

Operating with a startup mindset and broad-spectrum ownership, this role bridges executive strategy, deep technical execution, and financial engineering. Reporting to the APAC Advisory Leader, you will act as a trusted industry authority who connects complex technology investments directly to board-level business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive Advisory: Balance top-tier executive advisory with a strong technical mindset—moving seamlessly between C-suite strategy roundtables and architectural deep-dives.
• Business-to-Technology Alignment: Trace and connect complex infrastructure and platform architectures directly to enterprise revenue growth, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Startup Ownership: Thrive in challenging, ambiguous, and high-stakes environments by taking end-to-end, broad-spectrum ownership to drive projects past corporate inertia.
• Domain Strategy Execution: Lead strategic client engagements focused on AI/Generative AI infrastructure, datacentre modernization enterprise cloud security, or proven operational leadership within top tier enterprises.
• Market Influence: Author thought leadership, deliver keynote and high impact presentations across APAC, and elevate the company’s strategic influence in the region.
• Economic Value Realization: Construct rigorous, defensible business cases, including TCO, ROI, and budget allocation models that justify major transformation programs.
   

Target Expertise & Domain Expertise

• We look for proven track records and deep subject matter mastery in at least one of the following core pillars:
  • Artificial Intelligence: Enterprise AI/GenAI infrastructure, Private AI workloads, and accelerator-driven data center architectures
  • Cyber security & resiliency: Enterprise security frameworks, zero-trust architectures, governance, and cloud compliance.
  • Large Enterprise Operations: Architecting and operating complex hybrid environments (VMware, Nutanix, Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Azure)
     

Additional Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology strategy, architectural advisory, or management consulting, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical capabilities into quantifiable ROI.
• Industry Gravitas: Recognized standing in the tech industry, backed by strong C-level advisor relationships (preferably within FSI, Manufacturing, or Public Sector)
• Adaptability & Drive: High resilience and agility, with experience executing modern change management in rapidly evolving environments.
   

Core Requirements

• Language Fluency: Boardroom-level Japanese (Native/Fluent) and professional-level English (for regional APAC reporting).
• Collaboration & Leadership: Exceptional communication skills paired with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
• Mobility: Flexibility to travel between domestic Japan enterprise hubs as needed, and ability to travel internationally if required.
• Location: Onsite position in Tokyo Office (Tamachi)
