Description and Requirements
This new position joins Lenovo's AI Governance and Product Security organization within the Chief AI Office in our mission of enabling security and trust in Lenovo's use of AI technology in product development through Responsible AI. The AI Governance and Product Security Office works across all Lenovo's business and product areas to ensure AI tools are used in accordance with Company standards and international regulations and products are developed and implemented with industry best practices for security.
This person is a hands-on security operations engineer experienced in monitoring, operating, and improving enterprise security technologies across cloud environments, development platforms and modern application ecosystems. They bring a strong operational mindset, with experience implementing and tuning security controls, automating policy enforcement and response workflows, investigating security events and partnering with engineering, cloud and security teams to strengthen Lenovo’s AI Trust and Safety capabilities.
The candidate should have a good understanding of AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), common AI architectures, and emerging AI security risks. They should be comfortable applying established security engineering and operations practices to AI platforms and rapidly evolving AI technologies. A passion for AI, technology and engineering excellence is critical, with a strong belief that security is built through people, process, and scalable technology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and operationalize security controls, monitoring, and policy enforcement capabilities for AI platforms, cloud environments and AI-enabled applications.
- Integrate enterprise security capabilities into AI development platforms, cloud environments, APIs and CI/CD pipelines through automation and DevSecOps practices.
- Develop and maintain operational standards, playbooks and monitoring capabilities supporting the AI Trust & Safety Operations Center.
- Collaborate with the CSO AI Security and Responsible AI teams to implement governance, continuous monitoring and AI security reviews.
- Support the detection, investigation, triage, and response to AI-related security incidents, vulnerabilities, misuse, and model threats.
- Partner with Product Security, Cloud Engineering, IT Security and AI engineering teams to operationalize secure-by-design AI practices.
- Develop security automation, policy-as-code and continuous compliance.
- Occasional domestic and international travel (approx. 5-20%) for meetings and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Experience deploying, configuring and managing security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities within enterprise, cloud, or security operations environments.
- Experience with threat modelling, risk assessment and security reviews for applications, cloud services or AI-enabled systems.
- Ability to support security investigations, incident response, vulnerability management and AI-related security events.
- Experience implementing and operating enterprise security controls across cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, identity services or modern application environments.
- Excellent understanding of AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), common AI use cases, and emerging AI security and Trust & Safety risks.
- Good understanding of AI security frameworks and guidance such as OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, SAIF.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT Security and business unit product development teams, on AI-driven security initiatives.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, software engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in product security, application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, security operations, security engineering or a closely related discipline.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The anticipated initial gross base salary range for this position is 37,800–55,440 EUR per year. This range applies to the primary job location Slovakia and is determined using objective, non-discriminatory and gender-neutral criteria, including skills and relevant experience. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and business considerations.
Individuals may also be eligible for variable compensation (such as bonus or commission), depending on the role. The applicable variable pay model, eligibility, and target levels will be discussed during the recruitment process.
In addition to base salary and any applicable variable compensation, Lenovo provides statutory remuneration components required by local law, as well as Lenovo's comprehensive benefits package supporting employee well-being, development, and equal opportunities.
For roles open across multiple countries, local base salary ranges may vary based on market conditions, internal frameworks, and legal requirements. The relevant local range will be transparently communicated during the initial discussions.
