Advanced Material Technical Manager
Job Responsibilities
1. Oversee and deep-dive into incoming materials technology, quality, and upstream supply chain management to ensure material quality and sustainability.
2. Evaluate material risks and Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP) across TSMC’s global fab locations (AZ, Japan, Europe), considering factors such as aging effects, atmospheric pressure, and temperature. Mitigate risks by collaborating with suppliers and Fab facilities to safeguard wafer yield.
3. Monitor and manage material quality in close collaboration with the Facility department and Fab users to ensure smooth wafer production and high yields.
4. Define and execute strategic projects with proper resource planning and milestone delivery to drive continuous improvement.
5. Demonstrate strong leadership, managerial skills, critical thinking, and communication skills to lead the IMQR team and material-related projects.
6. Align with the executive management team to translate corporate vision and mission into the team’s daily operations (using OKRs to define objectives and deliver key results).
Job Qualifications
1. Ph.D. in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
2. 10–20+ years of experience in material development and management is preferred.
3. Demonstrated performance and commitment as a self-starter who can define and manage multiple priorities.
4. Strong soft skills, including resilience, positivity, confidence under pressure, and effective conflict management.
5. A proven passion and initiative to influence others, boost team morale, and foster team spirit.
