ADA Coordinator
Description
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our dynamic Accommodation Team. The ADA Coordinator will be responsible for supporting specific functions aligning with ADA administration and follow up, owning and driving process improvement, and assisting with case intake leaves and other project-based work as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with administration of day-to-day function of ADA such as general inquiries, attaching medical documents to cases, and return to work
- Be the front line to answer questions regarding leave policies, processes, and ADA status in person and via email or chat
- Organize and maintain ADA records
- Preserves confidentiality of employee records and medical documentation
- Maintains knowledge of all company policies and applicable leave laws including the FMLA, ADA, Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act, and state and local laws
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholder groups, such as Payroll, HR, Workplace Health, Leaves, as well as employees and managers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant work experience
- Knowledge of the ADA and other laws addressing the rights of people with disabilities
- Minimum 1 year of experience in benefits, human resources, or leave of Absence / ADA administration
- Ability to work with ambiguity, in a frequently changing, fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize work and execute multiple projects and tasks in parallel
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proven experience in all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Word
