Description
Meta is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join the Global Corporate Accounting team to join the Global Corporate Accounting team. This individual will be reporting to the Accounting Manager. In this specific role, you will be responsible for performing accounting transactions and processes to support daily operations and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. You will play a critical role in Meta's month-end financial close process and will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to accounting processes to support scale as Meta's business continues to grow and effectively oversee an off-shore team. This includes managing partner payable balances, performing accounting assessments and reviews, and supporting related reporting and disclosure requirements. The individual will also work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to support system integrations, resolve data and process issues, and conclude on accounting treatment within this space.
Responsibilities
Work within a Corporate Accounting global process function, with responsibility for key financial reporting areas (P&L and BS) Ensure an accurate and timely US GAAP month end close by providing management and support to the accounting close process. This role includes serving as a hands-on team member responsible for performing and reviewing accounting transactions including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis Help define and implement scalable accounting processes related to month-end and quarter-end close Partner with our global team to optimize worldwide processes, systems & controls Coach and develop the offshore team and ensure they perform according to expectations or the established desktop procedures Assist with the implementation of new accounting policy, including related new controls Contribute to the quarterly SEC reporting cycle Ensure compliance with key controls and audit requirements, and provide accounting support to our statutory compliance teams Lead projects to identify, design, test and roll-out new financial reporting systems and tools Prepare, review and deliver royalty reporting to rights holders on a monthly and quarterly cycle, ensuring statements are accurate, complete and issued within contractual deadlines Support external rights holder audits conducted under contractual audit provisions, coordinating documentation, responses, and remediation of findings
Qualifications
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field 6+ years relevant experience in the accounting profession Solid knowledge of US GAAP and internal control best practices Skilled in comprehending end-to-end systems that impact accounting processes, with experience in effectively scaling financial operations Experience with financial statements and general ledger entries or review Proven working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools Experience working independently as a significant individual contributor with minimal guidance Excellent planning, analytical, and presentation skills Ability to identify problematic areas and determine root cause Experience streamlining processes Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Team player and leader who is very comfortable working as part of a larger team distributed across multiple geographic locations Business partnering experience Big 4 audit experience and CPA Organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement Superb attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the "big picture" and the importance of risk mitigation and a robust controls environment Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience with large, fast-growing, multinational company Experience with Oracle Financials, SAP or ERP system; Hyperion
Compensation: $142,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
