Description:
The Account Executive (AE) is a proactive and consultative phone sales role responsible for selling Siemens Asset Management Software solutions to new prospective mid-market Manufacturing clients within an assigned territory. You will work collaboratively with Sales Leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and execute an account acquisition strategy while helping bring an emerging software solution to market.
This role includes prospecting, discovery, and closing functions. While you will be responsible for developing your own pipeline, you'll also receive support from an experienced team of SDRs.
This is a unique opportunity to join a team launching and growing a newer software offering. Success in this role requires curiosity, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial mindset. You'll help shape sales strategies, identify what resonates with customers, and contribute to building the playbook as the business continues to evolve.
You’ll make an impact by
- Learning the Manufacturing Industry and how Siemens Asset Management Software solutions positively impact manufacturing operations.
- Applying your knowledge to bring Siemens Asset Management Software solutions to market while meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Prospecting for new clients through outbound calling and follow-up on SDR and marketing-generated leads using tools such as SalesLoft.
- Coordinating closely with Sales Development, following up on leads and providing timely feedback.
- Presenting solutions to prospective customers with a focus on business value and measurable outcomes.
- Participating in product demonstrations alongside solution consultants.
- Managing the sales process through Salesforce, maintaining accurate opportunities, pipeline activity, and forecasting.
- Guiding prospects through the full buying journey, including discovery, demonstrations, negotiations, and closing.
- Partnering with Sales Leadership to develop new strategies, test new approaches, and continuously improve sales effectiveness.
- Helping shape and refine go-to-market strategies for a growing Manufacturing software solution.
- Providing customer and market feedback that helps improve messaging, positioning, and sales processes.
- Navigating ambiguity and adapting quickly as products, processes, and sales strategies evolve.
Why This Opportunity?
This role combines the energy of a startup environment with the stability and resources of Siemens. You'll have the opportunity to help shape how a growing software solution is brought to market, work closely with leadership, and play an important role in defining future success for the business. We're looking for someone who enjoys creating paths forward, learning through experimentation, and thriving in an environment where change creates opportunity.
This is how you'll win us over
- 1+ year of sales, Account Executive, SDR, or similar customer-facing sales experience.
- Proven ability to prospect by phone and manage opportunities through the entire sales cycle.
- Demonstrated success working independently and taking initiative.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and discernment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce and common business applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and virtual collaboration tools.
- A growth mindset and desire to continually learn and improve.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt when priorities, processes, or strategies change.
- Comfort working in environments where processes and playbooks are still evolving.
- An entrepreneurial mentality with the ability to create structure, find opportunities, and move forward amid uncertainty.
- Resilience and flexibility when navigating change and ambiguity.
You'll Thrive Even More If You Also Bring
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience selling SaaS solutions.
- Knowledge of the Manufacturing industry.
- Experience with SalesLoft, Chorus, and Definitive HC.
- Formal sales training.
- Eperience launching, introducing, or selling new products or solutions.
- Success in startup, high-growth, rapidly changing, or emerging-market environments.
- Experience helping develop new processes, messaging, or go-to-market strategies.
