Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Identify, prospect, and cultivate new business opportunities with advertisers and agencies while expanding existing partnerships.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue and managing opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
  • Position the differentiated value of Yahoo's premium media, audience solutions, and omnichannel advertising offerings.
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop territory strategies, identify growth opportunities, and drive market expansion.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across brands and agency partners.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's business objectives, customer journey, marketing priorities, and growth opportunities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor by recommending customized, data-driven advertising solutions that align with client goals.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and business reviews showcasing Yahoo's advertising capabilities, innovation, and performance.
  • Provide exceptional client service that drives long-term partnerships, retention, and revenue growth.

Consultative Selling & Solution Development:

  • Develop strategic, consultative sales approaches that help retail advertisers solve complex business challenges through Yahoo's advertising ecosystem.
  • Leverage Yahoo's first-party data, premium content, commerce capabilities, and measurement solutions to create customized marketing solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Client Services, Operations, and Measurement teams to deliver best-in-class client solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends across media, omnichannel marketing, consumer behaviour, and digital advertising to proactively identify opportunities for clients.
  • Translate performance insights and market intelligence into strategic recommendations that improve campaign effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, strengthen client insights, streamline workflows, and improve overall sales effectiveness.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with Client Services to ensure seamless onboarding, campaign execution, optimization, and client success.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to deliver integrated client solutions and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence and customer feedback to influence product development, go-to-market strategies, and sales initiatives.
  • Foster strong internal partnerships to continuously improve the customer experience and drive business growth.
  • Embrace emerging AI technologies and best practices to drive smarter decision-making, accelerate execution, and continuously improve the client experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in digital advertising sales within a premium publisher, media, retail media, or ad technology environment.
  • Experience working with advertisers, omnichannel retailers, clirny direct, and canadian hold cos and agencies is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including premium media, programmatic advertising, commerce media, audience targeting, measurement, and omnichannel marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Exceptional consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a history of consistently exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and performance insights into actionable client recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Highly collaborative, with experience working cross-functionally across Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Client Services.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, evolving, and innovative environment.

The compensation for this position ranges from $250,000 - $350,000 and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
