Overview We are seeking a full-time 3D Artist 2 at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for generating textures and background environments for product models within our 3D materials. This role will help create, concept, design and produce compelling 3D graphics, that will live on various mediums in the print and digital space. Essential Functions Creates photo-realistic renderings of consumer products to reflect the premium quality of products Garmin offers in a competitive digital and retail environment Partners with other 3D artists and motion designers to develop and stylize product models and environments in the 3D space Assists 3D and motion artists with still and light motion render outputs for web and social executions Works with Art Directors and Designers to concept on mood boards and key visuals that will help drive the look of a campaign or product launch Partners with project managers and other internal stakeholders to hit critical deadlines and initiatives Works closely with and presents progress to other internal associates during the texturing process Collaborates and adds value in creative reviews Contributes to improving processes, standards and guidelines Identifies which projects are high priority and applies a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on meeting deadlines Works collaboratively and professionally with other Garmin associates across all business segments Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in 3D Animation, Visual Communication, Film, Illustration, Motion Design or other relevant field AND a minimum of 2 years of professional 3D/motion graphic design experience Software proficiency in Cinema 4D, Redshift, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator or other equivalent Must possess a portfolio/reel demonstrating exceptional understanding and use of 3D space, detailed modeling, lighting, layout, design, color, texture Demonstrates good, working awareness of a vast array of methods and resources to implement a concept or idea Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with others Demonstrates effective time management, organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail and quality Applies Garmin's Quality Policy and enthusiastically exhibits a desire to see Garmin succeed Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
