【2026 Southeast Asia & India】Physical Design / APR Engineer

Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of over 17 million 12-inch equivalent wafers in 2025. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Job Responsibilities

1. Block level Physical Design from floorplan, CTS, P&R.

2. Performance/Power/Area Optimization, Timing Closure, EM/IR and Physical Verification fixes, and design signoff.

3. PD using leading edge technology node with high design complexity including multi-million instance count and multi power domains.

4. Need self-motivated person with strong ownership and commitment. A quick learner with out of the box thinking and good at teamwork is a plus.

Job Qualifications

1. Master's Degree or above in Electrical Engineering (EE)/Electronics Engineering (ECE), Interdisciplinary degree with exposure with EE/ECE courses related to PD

2. Basic understanding with willingness to pursue career and learn physical design and related signoff flow

3. Innovative thinking for new solutions

4. Familiar with EDA tools for P&R, STA, EM/IR, and physical verification is a plus

5. Familiar with Scripting languages (shell, python, perl, TCL) or C/C++ is a plus
