WW Ops Finance, Amazon Business Operations Finance
Want to be a part of one of the fastest growing offerings within Amazon? Amazon Business (AB) Operations owns the end to end customer experience for business customers from checkout to final mile delivery and is estimated to grow 20% next year. The AB Ops Finance team is responsible for all financial reporting & analysis, planning, and business partnering on this end to end spend. Our business is rapidly expanding and increasing in scope, providing for a rich career growth environment. A successful Finance Manager will showcase a high degree of ownership and will be able to independently partner with Amazon Business operations partners. The manager must be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity, judgement and ability to influence business partners.
Key job responsibilities
As a Finance Manager in AB Ops Finance, your primary charge is to build, maintain, and improve the SQL-based reporting that powers our recurring FP&A deliverables (WBR, MBR, and MFR), keeping the underlying queries accurate, efficient, and trustworthy. Alongside that prescribed cadence, you will generate ad-hoc reporting on demand, querying outbound cost data directly to answer operational and finance partner questions quickly, and translating what the data shows into clear commentary that connects cost and KPI movements to the decisions leaders need to make.
Much of this work runs through Amazon's outbound fulfilment cost systems, so you will work directly with sources like Hydra and the CP tables to source, validate, and reconcile the data behind our reporting. You will analyze operational KPI and business driver trends with a focus on outbound cost impact, surface the tradeoffs they imply, and partner with operations teams on recommendations that drive continuous improvement. When reporting anomalies or cost defects surface, you will lead the deep dives that root-cause them and drive them to resolution.
Success requires a working understanding of Amazon's outbound fulfillment operations and the AB OPs Finance calendar cycles (OP and Quarterly Guidance, MFRs, MBRs, WBRs).
