Job Description

The Director will be responsible for significant components of client engagements, and in many cases end-to-end delivery of client engagements. Typically, this will involve the Director interacting with the client team, gathering and managing project inputs, analyzing data to form conclusions and recommendations, developing and presenting compelling project reports and working with clients on executing recommendations.  This will also involve the Director to work across various teams in VCA both in-market and hub teams.

Typically, 3-6 months in duration and running in parallel, potential projects could include product design and launch, sales acquisition channel optimization, portfolio management diagnostics, customer lifecycle management, portfolio migrations and loyalty rewards solutions and marketing strategies, development of industry landscape evaluations and best practices. 

The Director will be responsible for identifying potential consumer issuer clients’ business pain-points and areas for strategy and process improvement, thereby defining project scope deliverables and revenue opportunity to sell-in client engagement projects. The role also requires engagement with our AP Hub team to ensure that they have access to best practice and latest IP.

  • Prepare client proposals and project plans, identifying dependencies, roles and responsibilities, scope and deliverables
  • Ensure project engagements remain on track, utilizing governance frameworks and mitigating / resolving complex problems that emerge during engagements
  • Be able to lead engagement teams and work solus depending on nature of engagement
  • Be able to lead large project management teams with multiple workstreams and lead the client working teams
  • Create, develop and maintain service line solutions, contribute to IP creation and standardized VCA offerings
  • Continuously build knowledge, surfacing new insights and producing thought leadership pieces that contribute to practice development
  • Prepare project materials including interview guides, data requirements, concepts, frameworks
  • Undertake client interviewing, collecting and analyzing inputs such as client information, data, processes, policies, competitive and environmental information
  • Conduct industry research, drawing on Visa and partner resources as well as colleagues to identify global best practices and distill insights relevant to the client problem at hand
  • Identify solutions and recommendations that address client objectives and result in performance improvement
  • Create compelling presentations to illustrate findings, ideas, recommendations within consulting engagements and more broadly
  • Recommend approaches to clients, providing guidance and at times physically supporting implementation at the client site
  • Collaborate with local client relationship managers /other functional teams to gain insights and support client engagement and execution
  • Build a network across VCA globally and Visa regionally to ensure that our solutions bring the best of Visa to our clients.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of work experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or business management with a Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
  • The ideal candidate will have already accumulated some consulting experience and will be curious about the payments industry and keen to work alongside an experienced team in gaining a deeper understanding.
  • Strong team orientation, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and written capabilities
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to progress multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in and passion for the power of analytics to inform and drive strategy and tactics, and proven ability to generate insights from data
  • Experienced people manager and team management
  • Some experience in payments and/or financial services and banking will be an added advantage
  • Exposure to customer experience design (using human centered design / design thinking)
  • Proficiency in Thai language preferred in order to speak with local client's based in Thailand.
