Description

Meta's XR Technology team is building the next generation of wearable devices that bring health and wellness capabilities directly to users. We develop and ship health sensing technologies — from biometric monitoring to wellness insights — that help people understand and improve their well-being through products they wear every day. As a Technical Program Manager for Health & Wellness, you will drive end-to-end program execution across a portfolio of health features shipping on Meta's wearable platforms. You will own the execution strategy for programs spanning algorithm development, sensor integration, clinical validation, and product delivery — coordinating across hardware, software, research, regulatory, and product teams to hit hardware-gated milestones. You will be responsible for schedule management, cross-team dependency resolution, risk mitigation, and ensuring launch readiness across multiple simultaneous programs. We look for Technical Program Managers who have a demonstrated technical foundation in health/biomedical sensing or consumer hardware, have experience defining and driving execution strategies for complex programs, experienced in building cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and partner teams, and experienced in establishing the appropriate level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution in a fast-paced, hardware-constrained environment.

Responsibilities

Drive the investigation, definition, and delivery of health and wellness programs across Meta's wearable device portfolio Create development and delivery strategies and schedules aligned to hardware integration windows, clinical validation requirements, and product launch timelines Manage communication within and between engineering, research, clinical/regulatory, and product teams across multiple organizations Own end-to-end schedule and milestone tracking across concurrent programs, identifying and escalating risks before they become irreversible Drive cross-team dependency resolution spanning algorithms, platforms, sensors, firmware, data infrastructure, and product Coordinate large-scale data collection efforts required for algorithm development and clinical validation Manage programs through NPI/NTI gate processes from early concept through to regulatory clearance and product launch Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review Establish repeatable execution frameworks and process architectures that uplift how the broader organization's programs Contribute to resource planning to ensure the program's success Up to 25% travel domestically and internationally based on program needs

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience 12+ years experience as a Program Manager managing hardware/software programs in health technology, consumer electronics, or medical devices Experience with NPI/NTI program management and hardware-gated milestone planning Experience coordinating cross-functional programs spanning hardware, software, algorithms, and regulatory/clinical teams Knowledge of program issue/bug tracking and risk management Experience communicating program status, risks, and technical trade-offs to engineering teams and leadership stakeholders Problem-solving and organizational experience Experience building relationships and collaborating across 4+ organizations simultaneously Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience managing programs with sensor, silicon, or firmware integration dependencies Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Background in health sensing, biomedical engineering, wearable technology, or digital health Experience with data collection programs for algorithm training and validation Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience with clinical validation processes, regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA), or health-related compliance frameworks Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
