Technical Program Manager, Digital Solutions
Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
As a Technical Program Manager, Data Center Digital Delivery, you have experience in the area of complex, multi-disciplinary, and geographically dispersed data center design, development, construction and commissioning projects. You will bridge the gap between design and construction operations and emerging automation technologies, translating complex design and construction workflows into scalable agentic digital solutions that drive significant efficiency gains. You are a business transformation leader who can tolerate ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership to fundamentally transform how data center projects are delivered.
Responsibilities
- Lead regional Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital delivery, and information management strategy. Standardize virtual design and construction processes to drive model reuse across data center projects, enforcing global asset tagging, spatial rules, and generative design data standards.
- Define regional digital controls from design to closeout, including software interfaces and modeling rulesets. Manage operational vendor scopes while integrating AI-driven metrics to track time and cost performance.
- Advise leadership on BIM software integration (e.g., Revit, Forma, MCAD) and AI/Large Language Model (LLM) data use. Architect automated agentic workflows for compliance and deploy machine learning models to extract operational insights from project records.
- Modernize project controls through proactive, data-driven change management. Deliver AI and digital engineering onboarding programs while embedding Agile/Scrum methodologies to streamline deployment cycles.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- 5 years of experience with construction projects from start to delivery.
- 5 years of experience in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) implementation and end-to-end BIM lifecycle management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Expertise in implementing and troubleshooting VDC/BIM software platforms.
- Proficient in project management, Agile/Scrum, ISO 19650, with a PE or Registered Architecture license.
- Track record of managing projects in mission-critical or high-tech environments.
- Skilled in AI/ML, LLMs, and GenAI solutions to address design and construction challenges.
- Strong strategic thinking, presentation, and cross-functional influencing skills in ambiguous settings.
