Sr. Solutions Architect, Agentic WorkSpaces, Canada
This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
Amazon Web Services is seeking a bilingual (English/French) Solutions Architect to join the Agentic WorkSpaces team in Toronto, Canada. This role demands a professional who operates at the intersection of enterprise desktop infrastructure and applied artificial intelligence — with clear primary depth in Agentic WorkSpaces platform architecture (60%) complemented by advisory-level proficiency in applied AI and large language model (LLM) deployment patterns (40%).
The primary mandate is Agentic WorkSpaces platform mastery. You will architect, deploy, and optimize Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solutions using Amazon WorkSpaces Personal, and Core, as well as Amazon WorkSpaces Applications (formerly AppStream 2.0). You will own production-readiness for enterprise customers: networking design, identity federation, image management, directory services, protocol optimization, and operational health. This is Level 300 depth — you are the definitive technical authority customers rely on to move from evaluation to scaled production.
The secondary mandate is applied AI advisory. You will guide customers through the agentic AI capabilities embedded within Agentic WorkSpaces — including AI agent configuration, foundation model selection via Amazon Bedrock, prompt engineering, tool integration via Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication patterns. You will evaluate LLM performance, design agent evaluation harnesses, and advise on deployment patterns for production AI workloads. This is Level 200+ depth — sufficient to lead customer conversations, conduct hands-on demonstrations, and identify when to engage deeper AI engineering resources.
Canada represents a strategic growth market for Agentic WorkSpaces. Federal, provincial, and regulated-industry customers (financial services, healthcare, public sector) require native French-language engagement for procurement, compliance documentation, and day-to-day technical advisory. This role serves Canadian enterprise and public sector customers directly — conducting discovery, architecture reviews, and production readiness assessments in both English and French. Toronto provides geographic proximity to Canada’s largest enterprise concentration while offering access to bilingual talent.
Willingness to travel up to 25% - 50% for on-site customer engagements across Canada.

Willingness to travel up to 25% - 50% for on-site customer engagements across Canada.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise and public sector customers to assess existing desktop infrastructure, identify migration paths, and define production deployment architectures for Amazon WorkSpaces (Personal, Core Managed Instances, Core Bundles) and Amazon WorkSpaces Applications.
- Design end-to-end Agentic WorkSpaces architectures encompassing VPC/networking topology, Active Directory or AWS Managed Microsoft AD federation, multi-region resilience, image lifecycle management, and protocol optimization for latency-sensitive workloads.
- Conduct Technical Validation (TechVal) engagements — defining success criteria, executing structured test plans, validating performance under production-representative conditions, and producing exit reports with clear go/no-go recommendations.
- Architect migrations from incumbent VDI platforms (Citrix Apps and Desktops, VMware/Omnissa Horizon) to Agentic WorkSpaces, including application compatibility assessment, user profile migration, and print/peripheral redirection validation.
- Drive production readiness: capacity planning, monitoring/alerting configuration (CloudWatch, WorkSpaces health APIs), patching cadence, cost optimization (reserved instances, auto-stop policies), and operational runbook development.
- Build deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders within customer organizations — positioning yourself as the trusted advisor they call before making infrastructure decisions.
- Deliver one-to-few and one-to-many enablement sessions (workshops, immersion days, bootcamps) to transfer Agentic WorkSpaces operational knowledge to customer teams.
- Guide customers through agentic AI capabilities within Agentic WorkSpaces — including AI agent creation, model selection via Amazon Bedrock, prompt configuration, guardrail setup, and tool/action integration.
- Evaluate foundation model performance for workspace-specific use cases: balancing latency, accuracy, cost, and compliance requirements. Advise on model selection trade-offs across Anthropic Claude, Amazon Titan, and third-party models available through Bedrock.
- Design and deploy Model Context Protocol (MCP) server configurations that expose customer tools, APIs, and data sources in a standardized format for dynamic agent tool discovery and invocation.
- Architect Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication patterns enabling multi-agent orchestration across enterprise systems (IT service management, identity operations, document processing, security automation).
- Build and advise on agent evaluation harnesses — defining metrics (task completion rate, hallucination rate, latency P95, cost per invocation), establishing baselines, and running structured evaluations against production workloads.
- Conduct data readiness assessments: evaluate customer data landscape (CRMs, knowledge bases, ticketing systems, identity stores), identify gaps, and recommend remediation strategies to ensure AI agents have reliable access to information.
- Advise on LLM deployment patterns including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), fine-tuning decision frameworks, knowledge base configuration, vector database selection, and chunking/embedding strategies.
- Create reusable artifacts — reference architectures, implementation guides, sample configurations, prompt libraries, and data readiness checklists — that scale best practices across the SA community and partner ecosystem.
- Provide structured product feedback to Agentic WorkSpaces and Amazon Bedrock service teams based on real-world customer implementations, contributing directly to roadmap prioritization.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, partners, service engineering teams, and support — ensuring customer voice reaches product leadership with specificity and urgency.
- Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications: whitepapers, blog posts, technical guides, and case studies that demonstrate Canadian customer success with Agentic WorkSpaces.
