Amazon Leo is looking for a Sr. Social Media Marketing Manager, Social Content to own the creative direction and content execution of Leo's social media program across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on social-native content development, creative format innovation, and hands-on publishing at launch scale.

You bring strong creative judgment, platform fluency, and the ability to operate independently within a fast-moving program. You write strong copy, produce social-native content, and publish at volume, while also developing new content formats, exploring emerging channels, and maintaining a high creative bar across everything Leo puts in market. You report into the Sr. Social Media Manager and work closely with agency partners and cross-functional teams to execute Leo's content program during one of the most visible launches in Amazon's history.

Key job responsibilities
  • Social Content Production: Write, design, and produce social media content across all platforms including static posts, carousels, short-form video (Reels, Shorts, Stories), and infographics. Maintain Leo's brand voice and visual identity across every asset with a target of 15+ pieces of content per week.
  • Creative Format Development: Develop net-new content formats and series concepts built for channel-first distribution. Identify gaps in the content calendar and pitch scalable creative solutions. Bring a social-native creative instinct to every brief.
  • Short-Form Video: Script, storyboard, and produce short-form video content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Stories. Coordinate with design and agency resources for motion graphics, b-roll, and post-production as needed.
  • Copywriting: Write platform-optimized copy for every post, adapting voice, length, tone, and CTA structure to match each channel's audience and format. Translate complex satellite technology and product milestones into clear, engaging, human language.
  • Trend Monitoring & Reactive Content: Monitor platform trends, cultural moments, and competitive activity daily. Pitch reactive content ideas and produce approved concepts on same-day or next-day timelines.
  • Publishing & QA: Own the end-to-end publishing workflow in Sprinklr including final copy QA, image and video formatting, platform tagging, UTM and ref marker link tracking, and scheduling. Ensure zero-error execution across all platforms.
Program Operations & Coordination
  • New Format & Channel Exploration: Identify and test emerging content formats and channel opportunities. Bring observations and performance data to the Sr. Social Media Manager with clear recommendations for scaling or deprioritizing.
  • Content Calendar Management: Own Leo's rolling content calendar across in-house, agency, and cross-functional inputs. Ensure all content is sequenced, approved, and published on time.
  • Campaign Coordination with Agency: Serve as the day-to-day operational contact with Leo's social media agency partner for campaign content handoffs, review timelines, and asset delivery. Escalate relationship and strategic decisions to the Sr. Social Media Manager.
  • International Content Execution: Support geo-targeted content execution for Leo's international expansion per direction from the Sr. Social Media Manager. Ensure assets meet market-specific requirements and brand standards.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Pull and organize bi-weekly content performance data from Sprinklr and native platform analytics. Surface top and bottom performing content with observations to inform creative decisions.
  • Community Support: Support community engagement across all platforms during high-volume moments. Respond to comments and mentions in Leo's brand voice. Escalate issues per the social response protocol.
  • Cross-Functional Content Support: Support requests from stakeholders and regional teams on content needs. Serve as an operational content contact for cross-functional partners, escalating strategic decisions to the Sr. Social Media Manager.
Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights
  • - Experience in social media marketing for technology, telecom, aerospace, or consumer hardware brands
  • - Experience in a pre-launch or launch environment including new product, new brand, or new market entry
  • - Experience with international or multi-market content programs
  • - Experience with influencer or creator programs including briefing and content oversight
  • - Proficiency with creative tools including Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent
  • - Experience with UTM tracking, link management, and campaign attribution
  • - Familiarity with AEO and social content's role in AI citation and discoverability
  • - Genuine interest in space, technology, or connectivity, and an instinct for making ambitious ideas feel personal and shareable on social

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
