The Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) team is looking for an entrepreneurial, experienced, and analytical Senior Quality Manager. You will join a dynamic, fast-paced, fun and collaborative work environment where you will help build and scale our business within both physical stores and online channels.

This role ensures that food products are consistently produced and delivered to our customers to our quality expectations. You will be expected to drive activities across several stakeholder teams including Product Management, Sourcing, Product Development, Food Safety, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and suppliers to ensure the maintenance of quality expectations for our food & beverage products.

This position will focus on monitoring product performance of launched products, managing trend analysis and escalation mechanisms, and facilitate process improvement initiatives with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams. This position will focus on developing benchmarking mechanisms to assess category and subcategory performance and reporting mechanisms to track quality performance metrics. The position will require resourcefulness and creativity to learn new tools and systems to identify opportunities to drive automation and simplification of data management.

The right person for this role must be customer obsessed and enjoy using data and mechanisms to drive improvements that maintain customer trust with of our brands and products. The successful candidate will be passionate about food products, self-motivated, enjoy working with data and identifying trends from large data sets, able to develop sound recommendations for product/process improvements, able to earn trust and influence teams, solution oriented, have solid problem solving skills, strong attention to detail, strong vision for quality standards and programs, strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) with technical and non-technical teams alike, and be motivated by a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Key job responsibilities
  • Conduct data analysis of customer feedback data across all food & beverage categories and be able to identify and prioritize improvement activities, working with cross-functional teams and suppliers as needed to drive solutions.
  • Develop robust customer feedback monitoring mechanisms that mitigate and manage safety and compliance risks.
  • Build dashboards or other mechanism to manage large data sets and enable business decisions.
  • Identify, communicate, or escalate product quality risk areas using data and lead or support corrective actions.
  • Navigate roadblocks and work with stakeholders and suppliers to drive solutions without compromising on product safety, compliance, or customer satisfaction.
  • Define quality KPIs and develop mechanisms to track and report quality performance metrics.
  • Build process flows, SOPs, and define and align on RACI for quality activities across cross-functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or optimize our operations, mitigate repeat issues, develop guardrails to simplify decision making, utilize automation, and drive process efficiencies, including cost savings opportunities.
  • Traveling as needed (up to 15%) to meet with suppliers and support production activities or quality investigations to resolution.

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of managing food safety and quality in a large-scale retail or manufacturing environment experience
  • Experience in root-cause problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in product or program management, business development or technology
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data
  • Experience in product development and analyzing customer feedback data and trend analysis
  • Excellent communicator (written, oral, presentation)
  • Proven track record for cultivating strong relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Ability to drive decisions under time pressure without compromising safety or compliance of products.
  • Experience building mechanisms to scale, track, audit and maintain quality standards.
  • Experience building process flows, SOPs, and RACIs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management, ability to re-prioritize quickly, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to define new and ambiguous spaces and projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects, think big, act quickly, and influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Experience using SQL or other tool to build dashboards and managing large data sets to drive business decisions.
  • Diversified experience with entire product lifecycle and supply chain (R&D, scale-up, material sourcing, operations management, customer feedback).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
