About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically hands-on Sr. Manager, Demand Generation Analytics & Performance to own the measurement, insights, and business review framework for digital demand generation across multiple Salesforce products and lines of business. This role spans website, email, paid media, account-based marketing (ABM), and other program-driven demand gen initiatives - sitting above any single channel to bring executives a unified view of performance, investment, and opportunity.
This individual will serve as the analytical backbone for the demand gen organization: building and evolving KPIs, navigating complex data across Google Analytics, Salesforce CRM objects, and paid media platforms, and partnering across data teams on the dashboards and monitoring needed to track performance. They will not manage people directly, but will have significant dotted-line influence over analysts and junior staff who build on their measurement frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Business Review & Performance Framework
Review Framework Ownership: Define and maintain the recurring business/performance review rhythm across demand gen channels (website, email, paid media, ABM, and other programs) spanning multiple Salesforce products and lines of business.
Insight & Narrative Generation: Own the analysis, trends, and "so what" behind performance data - turning results into clear investment and prioritization recommendations for leadership.
Cross-Channel Synthesis: Roll up performance across otherwise siloed channel teams into one coherent view of what's working and where to invest next.
Analytics Ownership & Metric Design
Measure Design: Take existing data models and actively build new measures on top of them - owning the metric layer for demand gen efficacy and performance.
Cross-Team Metric Alignment: Partner with adjacent analytics teams to align on KPI definitions and performance measures that hold consistently across multiple products and lines of business.
Channel Fluency: Bring digital demand gen context (website, email, paid, ABM) to design measures that reflect real channel dynamics and business strategy even without direct hands-on channel execution experience.
Cross-Functional Navigation
Stakeholder Management: Build trust and drive alignment across numerous demand gen leaders and teams spanning multiple products and global sales territories.
Analytical Partnership: Serve as a go-to analytical voice for demand gen performance across a matrixed, multi-product organization.
Measurement & KPI Architecture
Dashboard & Monitoring Guidance: Prescribe and guide analysts on what dashboards and monitoring views need to exist in Tableau (or similar BI tooling) to track KPIs on an ongoing basis.
Hands-On Data Navigation: Independently navigate and join data across Google Analytics (in Snowflake), Salesforce CRM objects (Campaigns, Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities), and paid media platform data to construct metrics - without relying on a data engineering team to build new infrastructure.
Data Requirements Definition: Clearly spec out data or infrastructure gaps and prescribe requirements to engineering/BI teams when existing data isn't sufficient.
Candidate Requirements and Competencies
Experience & Technical Skills
6+ years of experience in Marketing/Demand Gen Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a highly quantitative field, ideally in B2B SaaS or technology.
Demonstrated experience designing or evolving KPIs/metrics for digital marketing or demand generation programs.
Strong proficiency in SQL - able to independently navigate, join, and query across large, complex data sets (Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse).
Hands-on fluency with Tableau (or similar BI tool) to define and guide the build of scalable dashboards, not just consume them.
Deep familiarity with Salesforce data architecture and core CRM objects (Campaign, Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity) - able to construct demand gen metrics from them directly.
Working knowledge of Google Analytics and website reporting data, along with paid media platform data and tools like Demandbase.
Communication & Leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable building the analytical narrative behind business reviews involving the most senior Marketing leadership.
Strong relationship-building and influence skills - able to navigate and align many stakeholders and subgroup leaders without direct authority.
Demonstrated ability to guide and mentor analysts or junior staff on measurement and dashboarding approach.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working across multiple products or lines of business (vs. a single product/cloud) in a matrixed marketing organization.
Hands-on experience inside a demand gen channel (email, paid, web, ABM) is a plus, though deep analytical familiarity is the priority.
Experience partnering with central/adjacent analytics teams on shared metric frameworks.
