BISS stands for Business Industrial Scientific Supplies but is A.in's carrier for all business, commercial selection meant for business customers of all forms and shapes (small, large businesseses, MSME, Institutions, Public sectors etc.) Our business units include a. Industrial and professional tools b. Professional medical or Hospital supplies c. Measuring devices and equipment d. Janitorial and sanitation businesses e. Safety solutions and equipment, we are a OM +ve, 30+% YoY growing business. Additionally the leader needs to scale nascent yet bold visions like MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) which is a strong OP1 priority and large Bn USD businesses in EU & NA.

The Sr. Mgr, Category Management is the key advocate for the category within Amazon -- building a world-class selection acquistion workstreams, creating business promotions, discounts and selection mind-frame, helping customers discovery and shop industrial, business heavy selection for their needs, navigate past regulations, expanding selection, and generally helping to define, shape and execute long-term strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will have experience working with external vendors in areas such as strategic planning and contract negotiations; experience working with technical teams to build innovative, new technology; and excellent verbal and written communication skills. He or she must also have the analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get stuff done and deliver results no matter the obstacles. Keys to success also include a strong interest in the B2B, commercial sectors industry, the desire to create a unique and compelling customer experience, and a passion for retail.

On boarding top commercial and industrial brands
Drive best in class business, consumer and bulk prices
Help making Amazon a trusted name in procurement
Delivering GL revenue via Fees, Ads, Coop
Growing GL via inputs across selection, pricing, convenience

A day in the life
Auditing the store experience
Reviewing selection, pricing selection gaps across B2C, B2B
Working with AB, AWIPL team on scaling business inputs
Visit offline commercial hubs, B2B melas and learn about true customer frustrations and solve for them

About the team
Furniture, Auto, BISS, L&G POD within Hardlines comprises of the most non-intuitive set of categories within Hardlines. We are odd sized, large cube, mostly outside FC and anything but playbook. Yet, we take pride in scaling industry and WW first product features like Vehicles in Auto, Solar in L&G, Professional medical & MRO in BISS.

We are hungry set of individuals who thrive on Day 1 principles and dont settle for the norm. We value ideas over hierarchy and are super paranoid and relentless.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of team management experience
  • 7+ years of operational and/or retail management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading and transforming highly effective organizations
  • Experience with P&L responsibility and delivering strong financial results
