Job Description
Overview:
Visa is seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant, Product Management to join the BI&A Data Products organization. This role will serve as a Product Owner within a portfolio of enterprise data products and will be accountable for defining product direction, prioritization, and delivery outcomes.
The successful candidate will act as the voice of the business while partnering closely with technology teams, stakeholders, and leadership to drive product strategy and execution. This individual will be responsible for translating business needs into actionable product roadmaps, establishing clear priorities, and ensuring delivery efforts remain aligned to business objectives.
The initial focus area for this role will be Mandates Modernization, a strategic initiative requiring significant stakeholder alignment, product planning, and delivery oversight.
Essential Functions:
- Own product strategy, prioritization, and delivery outcomes for assigned product area(s).
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps that align business objectives with technology execution.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, define priorities, and establish clear product direction.
- Drive backlog prioritization decisions and ensure work aligns with strategic goals and available delivery capacity.
- Collaborate with technology teams to align product priorities with sprint planning and release schedules.
- Clearly communicate tradeoffs, dependencies, risks, and scope decisions.
- Challenge overly complex requirements and advocate for simple, scalable solutions.
- Represent product priorities and investment decisions in governance, prioritization, and planning forums.
- Monitor execution progress and ensure delivered solutions remain aligned with approved business objectives.
- Provide product updates to leadership, including accomplishments, upcoming priorities, risks, and support needs.
- Foster alignment across cross-functional stakeholders while driving timely decisions in ambiguous situations.

This position is a Hybrid position to be located in our Denver, CO office location. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
- 6+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, business strategy, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience owning product direction, prioritization decisions, and delivery outcomes.
- Experience working with data products, reporting platforms, analytics solutions, or enterprise technology products.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into product roadmaps and tangible delivery plans.
- Experience working in Agile environments alongside technology delivery teams.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizations and levels of leadership.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving decisions with incomplete information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess tradeoffs and prioritize effectively.
- Experience within financial services, payments, risk management, data, or analytics organizations is preferred.
