Software Dev Engineer II – Corporate Development Integration, Corporate Development
Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) to join our Corporate Development Technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver software components and tools that accelerate the integration of acquired businesses and support Amazon's Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practices. You will work alongside senior engineers and cross-functional partners—including engineering, legal, finance, and security stakeholders—to build solutions that enable seamless on-boarding of acquired systems into Amazon. You will also contribute to internal platforms and services that reduce acquisition friction and improve observability across M&A operations.
This is a greenfield space where you will help define and shape new products from the ground up. You should be comfortable wearing many hats—contributing across the stack, navigating ambiguity, and balancing product thinking with engineering execution. This role requires strong technical skills in distributed systems, a passion for building high-quality software, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Occasional travel (up to 10–15%) may be required to collaborate with acquired businesses and Amazon teams across geographies.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and build scalable components, tools, and services that improve the efficiency, observability, and consistency of M&A operations.
- Contribute directly to integration efforts by working within partner code bases and infrastructure to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, finance, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and align technical execution with team objectives.
