We are seeking a highly motivated Microsoft Fabric Administrator with 2+ years of experience in enterprise platform administration, cloud operations, and production support to manage and support Microsoft's internal Microsoft Fabric platform environments.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end administration, operational management, governance, and reliability of Microsoft Fabric services used across Microsoft. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and operational skills, experience managing cloud-based data and analytics platforms, and a passion for driving platform excellence through automation, governance, and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with engineering teams, security and compliance organizations, business stakeholders, and the Microsoft Fabric Product Group (PG) to ensure a secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective platform experience. As part of Microsoft's Customer Zero strategy, you will help identify platform issues, influence product improvements, validate new capabilities by collaborating with product groups, and contribute to the future evolution of Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities
  • You will administer and manage Microsoft Fabric platform services, including tenant configurations, capacities, workspaces, OneLake resources, and governance controls to ensure a secure, scalable, and reliable platform.
  • You will contribute to operational excellence by driving Incident, Request, Change, and Problem Management processes, ensuring service stability, reliability, and continuous improvement across the Fabric platform.
  • You will work on proactive platform monitoring, alert management, service health analysis, capacity optimization, and operational readiness activities to maintain high availability and performance.
  • You will collaborate with the Microsoft Fabric Product Group (PG), engineering teams, security partners, compliance stakeholders, and service owners to investigate platform issues, influence product improvements, and support Microsoft Customer Zero initiatives.
  • You will design and implement automation, AI-powered, and agentic operational solutions for platform provisioning, governance enforcement, monitoring, reporting, incident triage, and lifecycle management using Fabric APIs, PowerShell, Copilot, and cloud-native technologies.
  • You will contribute to platform governance, entitlement management, security posture, compliance requirements, and operational best practices to deliver secure, reliable, and cost-effective data and AI platform services for Microsoft employees.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 10+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering
    • OR equivalent experience. 
  • 7+ Years of Hands on experience in Service Engineering, Platform Administration, Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Technical Support Engineering, with a strong focus on platform reliability, operational excellence, and service governance.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Administration, Azure Data Services, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms, including platform monitoring, capacity management, performance optimization, and operational reporting.
  • Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Fabric platform services, including Capacities, Workspaces, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, and Real-Time Intelligence workloads.
  • Experience managing production environments through Incident, Request, Change, and Problem Management processes, with strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across platform, infrastructure, identity, networking, data, and service performance scenarios.
  • Experience implementing platform governance, security, and compliance controls, including Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, access governance, tenant administration, workspace security, and enterprise data protection practices.
  • Experience developing automation and AI-powered operational solutions using PowerShell APIs, Copilot, or cloud-native technologies, with a proven ability to support deployments, migrations, platform lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, security, compliance, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multitenant operations experience: enforcing baselines, detecting drift, and remediating across many M365 tenants.
  • Experience governing Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio at scale: agent lifecycle, connector permissions, data access boundaries, and usage telemetry.
  • Experience with Geneva, Kusto, or comparable telemetry and live site tooling.
