The AI Platform Service Engineer is responsible for administering, governing, and operationalizing Microsoft's enterprise AI platforms across complex multi-tenant environments, including Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Power Platform services. This role serves as a key steward of Microsoft's AI ecosystem, ensuring secure, scalable, compliant, and reliable deployment of AI agents and intelligent solutions. The engineer will establish platform standards, governance frameworks, lifecycle management processes, operational baselines, and service controls that enable employees and business teams to build and consume AI capabilities securely and effectively while maintaining alignment with Microsoft enterprise standards.

As part of the Tenant & Productivity Org, the engineer will support the end-to-end management of enterprise AI platforms spanning multiple Microsoft tenants, including agent provisioning, environment governance, entitlement management, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and service enablement. The role requires expertise in Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform administration, Microsoft Entra ID, Copilot, AI governance principles, and hands-on experience designing and operating AI agents. Success in this role is measured through operational excellence, platform reliability, governance compliance, automation adoption, knowledge enablement, and close partnership with engineering, security, compliance, developer support, and product teams to drive Customer Zero innovation at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities
  • You will administer and govern Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Copilot, and Microsoft 365 Copilot services across multi-tenant environments.
  • You will design, deploy, and manage AI agents and copilots, overseeing their lifecycle from onboarding through retirement.
  • You will establish and enforce governance, security, compliance, and Responsible AI standards, including access controls and DLP policies.
  • You will administer Azure AI Foundry resources, AI workloads, and integrations to enable secure and scalable AI solutions.
  • You will partner with engineering, security, compliance, product groups, and business stakeholders to drive Customer Zero innovation and platform adoption.
  • You will provide operational support for AI platforms, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
  • You will leverage automation and AI-driven operations to improve platform reliability, reduce manual effort, and drive continuous service improvement.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 10+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering.
    • OR equivalent experience. 
  • 7+years of Hands on experience in service engineering, including hands-on experience operating and supporting enterprise-scale cloud services or distributed systems, with exposure to managing live production environments.
  • Experience administering Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Power Platform services in enterprise multi-tenant environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing AI agents, copilots, and AI-powered solutions using Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry.
  • Experience with M365 Copilot, Powerplatform, Copilot Studio, PowerShell, Python, Microsoft Graph, and automation technologies to support platform operations and lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, Responsible AI, Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, DLP policies, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting live cloud services, including incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, monitoring, service reliability, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, security, and product teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services administration, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Understanding of multi-tenant environments, tenant governance, cross-tenant collaboration, identity management, and enterprise-scale platform operations.
  • Experience with Power Platform governance, Dataverse, Microsoft Graph, APIs, automation, and integration best practices.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, security, privacy, compliance, monitoring, and operational excellence for enterprise AI platforms and services.
