  • Position Overview:
  • The SVP and Head of Strategy is responsible for shaping the long-term direction, growth strategy, and enterprise transformation of Siemens Asset Management Software.
  • Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the role serves as the CEO's principal strategic advisor and is responsible for developing and executing the company's enterprise strategy while ensuring that strategic priorities translate into measurable business outcomes.
  • The SVP and Head of Strategy partners closely with the SVP and Head of Revenue and the Executive Leadership Team to accelerate profitable growth, improve operational performance, identify new market opportunities, lead mergers and acquisitions, strengthen strategic partnerships, optimize the company's product and market portfolio, and position Siemens Asset Management Software for long-term market leadership.
  • This role extends well beyond traditional corporate strategy. The SVP and Head of Strategy will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide transformation, accelerating inorganic growth, influencing executive decision-making, and ensuring alignment between corporate strategy, commercial execution, product innovation, and financial performance.
Position Purpose:
  • The SVP and Head of Strategy exists to ensure Siemens Asset Management Software has a clear, actionable, and executable enterprise strategy that drives sustainable growth and long-term shareholder value.
  • This executive will help answer the company's most important strategic questions:
  • Where should we compete?
  • How will we win?

  • What acquisitions should we pursue?
  • Which markets should we enter?
  • Which products should we prioritize?
  • How do we accelerate profitable growth?
  • How do we maximize value creation for Siemens, our customers, and our employees?
Primary Responsibilities:

Enterprise Strategy:

  • Develop and continuously evolve the company's enterprise strategy aligned with the vision of Siemens and the long-term objectives of Siemens Asset Management Software.
  • Lead annual and multi-year strategic planning across the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Serve as the CEO's principal advisor on strategic business decisions.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into clear priorities, measurable objectives, and organizational execution.
  • Facilitate Executive Leadership Team strategic planning sessions and business reviews.
  • Commercial Strategy:
  • Partner closely with the SVP and Head of Revenue to:
  • Accelerate Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth.
  • Improve bookings performance and revenue growth.
  • Strengthen pipeline generation and conversion.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and commercial predictability.
  • Develop market expansion strategies.
  • Evaluate pricing and packaging opportunities.
  • Prioritize investments across industries, products, geographies, and channels.
  • Align commercial execution with long-term enterprise strategy.
Corporate Development & Mergers & Acquisitions:

  • Lead the company's inorganic growth strategy by:
  • Identifying acquisition opportunities.
  • Building strategic investment theses.
  • Conducting executive-level due diligence.
  • Developing acquisition business cases.
  • Leading post-merger integration planning.
  • Driving acquisition value realization.
  • Developing strategic alliances and partnerships.
  • Identifying opportunities for portfolio optimization.
Portfolio Strategy:

  • Partner with Product, Technology, Revenue, and Finance leadership to:
  • Evaluate long-term product investments.
  • Assess market attractiveness and competitive positioning.
  • Recommend build, buy, partner, or sunset decisions.
  • Align product strategy with customer demand and market opportunity.
  • Ensure portfolio decisions maximize long-term enterprise value.
AI & Innovation Strategy:

  • Develop the enterprise AI strategy in partnership with Technology and Product leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes through AI.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and market disruption.
  • Recommend strategic innovation investments.
  • Support development of long-term technology strategy.
Enterprise Transformation:
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that accelerate organizational performance by:
  • Driving strategic transformation programs.
  • Improving enterprise operating effectiveness.
  • Strengthening executive alignment.
  • Removing organizational barriers to execution.
  • Establishing governance for strategic initiatives.
  • Measuring enterprise transformation outcomes.

Strategic Planning & Executive Advisory:

  • Prepare strategic recommendations for the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Develop Board-level strategy presentations and business cases.
  • Support Siemens strategic planning processes.
  • Facilitate enterprise prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives remain aligned with financial objectives and business priorities.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy:

  • Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities.
  • Evaluate customer needs and market shifts.
  • Develop competitive strategies.
  • Represent Siemens Smart Infrastructure Asset Management Software with analysts, strategic customers, partners, and industry organizations.
  • Leadership Expectations:

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise strategy within a global software, SaaS, industrial technology, or enterprise technology organization.
  • Significant experience developing and executing long-term growth strategies.
  • Proven mergers and acquisitions experience, including acquisition strategy, due diligence, integration, and value realization.
  • Experience partnering closely with executive leaders across Revenue, Finance, Product, Technology, Operations, and People functions.
  • Experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Strong executive communication, Board presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence across complex global matrix organizations.

Preferred:
  • Experience in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Industrial Software, Manufacturing Technology, Infrastructure Software, AI-enabled SaaS, or Smart Infrastructure.
  • Experience within Siemens or another global technology organization.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced business education.
