About the Role
We are looking for a Treasury Senior Specialist to strengthen Nubank's Treasury team and help build the Banking Book and ALM infrastructure that is currently being structured. This is a high-impact position: you will be responsible for increasing the area's revenue, acting as the key counterpart interface, and implementing strategies that do not yet exist in our treasury.
You will work side by side with the current team, taking on execution responsibilities that today have no capacity to be absorbed — and leaving your mark on the construction of banking processes that will be fundamental to the evolution of the area.
What You'll Do
Banking Book & ALM
Build and structure Banking Book and ALM processes that do not yet exist in Nubank's treasury — starting from scratch toward a robust institutional model.
Serve as the primary interface with the ALM (Asset and Liability Management) team in the design and evolution of structural interest-rate positions (IRRBB), limits, and metrics.
Support the modeling of deposit portfolios and repricing gap analysis, working closely with the Risk and ALM teams.
Contribute to the implementation of accounting P&L (Resultado Contábil) and capital optimization, identifying new approaches.
Revenue Generation & Execution
Implement P&L strategies together with the team, identifying arbitrage opportunities and new revenue sources for the area.
Act as the key counterpart interface (brokers, banks, dealers) in the execution of transactions: bonds, derivatives, structured products, and other banking book instruments.
Execute the operations identified by the team, being the execution arm for strategies that currently have no capacity to be absorbed.
Participate in forums and committees with Risk and ALM teams, presenting and defending positions and strategies.
Stakeholder Management & Systems
Be the primary point of contact between Treasury and the Risk and ALM teams, building ongoing relationships to drive approval of models, limits, and new strategies.
Act as the technical interface with the Technology team for the implementation and improvement of treasury systems — not as a developer, but as someone who understands technical language and can translate business needs into clear requirements.
Support the migration of spreadsheet-based processes to systems and automated flows (e.g., Calipso and other booking systems).
Collaborate with Backoffice, Accounting, and other partner areas to ensure operations are correctly booked and reconciled.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Background
Solid experience in building and structuring Banking Book and ALM processes in banks or financial institutions — ideally having done this from scratch in at least one organization.
Background in banking treasury, with experience at institutions with conventional treasuries (e.g., large banks, investment banks, structured asset managers).
Track record in arbitrage, counterpart interaction, and execution of financial market transactions.
Practical knowledge of IRRBB, accounting P&L (R Contábil), and deposit portfolio modeling.
Familiarity with derivatives (listed and OTC): interest rate, FX, credit — structures, pricing, and risk management.
Technical Skills
Command of risk metrics: DV01, Delta NII, Delta EVE, duration, and curve-shock sensitivities.
Ability to engage technically with Technology and Risk teams — coding is not expected, but understanding system logic, data structures, and technical language is essential.
Experience with treasury systems (booking, risk, reconciliation) — knowledge of Calipso is a plus.
Analytical capability for modeling, scenario simulation, and mark-to-market analysis.
Soft Skills & Profile
Strong stakeholder management: ability to build relationships and influence areas such as Risk, ALM, Backoffice, and Technology.
Executor profile: ready to contribute from day one, with no need for extensive onboarding.
Clear communication — able to explain complex strategies in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborative mindset, comfortable sharing responsibilities and working alongside peers.
Analytical and disciplined profile, at ease with high technical complexity and evolving environments.
