We are seeking a passionate silicon engineer to help develop the C-model architecture for ISP ML accelerators. In this role, you will establish and maintain a software environment for reference ML accelerator C-models, as well as construct a system model that enables cross-organizational collaboration for Machine Learning (ML) accelerator integration. You will partner closely with architects, implementation designers, verification engineers, and software engineers to deliver bit-accurate system C-models and specifications. You will have expertise in software design, experience in AI/ML accelerator development, and a solid understanding of SoC development.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first-party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and create the software architecture for ML accelerators.
  • Build, model, implement, and test ML accelerator.
  • Establish and maintain the software and simulation environment for ISP ML accelerator development.
  • Lead the delivery of ISP ML accelerator C-models to support design implementation and verification.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate the ML accelerator into the compiler software ecosystem.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in silicon engineering or relevant industry domains.
  • Experience in reference model development and silicon design trade-off.
  • Experience in AI/ML accelerator or model development.
  • Experience programming in C++, C, or Python.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
  • Experience with end-to-end silicon engineering process.
  • Experience in utilizing system-C for Transaction-Level Modeling (TLM).
