We are hiring a Senior Service Engineer – A365 and AI Admin to deliver A365 and AI Administration for the MSD M365 MultiTenant team. You will administer and define how we configure, govern, and operate the M365 admin surface and the AI admin surface, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, across Microsoft's many internal tenants. You will partner closely with software engineers to drive the automation, Microsoft Graph based tooling, and policy as code that enforces baselines, detects configuration drift, and responds to admin and AI plane risks at fleet scale. The role interfaces across M365 workloads but stays focused on A365 and AI Admin capabilities. You will bring a security mindset to everything you operate, including admin permissions, data access boundaries, and audit telemetry as part of your daily ownership.

Responsibilities
- You will administer and govern Microsoft 365 and AI administration capabilities across Microsoft internal tenants, including Copilot administration, agent governance, delegated administration, configuration management, and operational policy enforcement.
- You will define and implement administration guardrails for AI-enabled experiences, including agent lifecycle management, connector governance, data access boundaries, audit requirements, and usage controls.
- You will partner with software engineers to automate tenant administration through Microsoft Graph, APIs, policy-as-code, drift detection, and fleet-scale remediation capabilities.
- You will build and operate governance frameworks that enable secure adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and emerging AI administration capabilities.
- You will monitor and respond to operational, security, and compliance risks across the M365 and AI administration surfaces through telemetry, auditing, and continuous policy validation.
- You will drive engineering-led operations through automation, observability, and service health practices rather than manual administration activities.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Requirements:
- Experience administering Microsoft cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Dataverse, Copilot, or related SaaS services, including configuration, security, governance, or operational management.
- Experience designing or operating automation using Microsoft Graph, APIs, PowerShell, scripting, or comparable technologies to manage cloud platforms at scale.
- Experience implementing security and governance controls including least-privilege administration, delegated administration, auditability, compliance requirements, or data access governance.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Agent 365 (A365), or comparable AI administration and governance platforms.
- Experience governing AI agents, connectors, plugins, or external data access patterns, including lifecycle management, permission models, and operational oversight.
- Experience operating multitenant Microsoft environments, including delegated administration, baseline management, policy enforcement, drift detection, and fleet-scale governance.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra, Purview, Defender, Intune, Geneva, IcM, Kusto, or comparable identity, compliance, security, and operational tooling

Service Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
