Senior Quantum Test Engineer, cryo-mechanical and electrical
Microsoft Quantum unites a talented and diverse international team working to create the world’s first scalable quantum computing system. Our full-stack approach advances innovation across the quantum computing stack—from fundamental physics and hardware to software, applications, and cloud integration—with the aim of addressing problems beyond the reach of today’s computers. In this role, you will help shape transformative technology while collaborating with theoretical and experimental physicists, hardware designers, and software engineers around the world. Our Denmark lab is seeking a Quantum Test Engineer, cryo-mechanical and electrical, specializing in cryogenic and mechanical systems for 4K cryogenic device measurements. You will perform hands-on hardware work, maintain and troubleshoot cryogenic setups and instrumentation, and support 4K measurement activities.
In this role, you will help deliver reliable 4K cryogenic measurement capabilities for the Microsoft Quantum program. You will build, maintain, and troubleshoot cryogenic hardware systems; integrate and validate cryogenic hardware and instrumentation; and support device measurements and smooth lab operations. Your hands-on experience with cryogenic systems, electronics, and hardware diagnostics will enable you to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Working closely with software, engineering, and supplier teams, you will improve procedures, documentation, inventory management, and safety practices. A practical, collaborative, and methodical approach will help you succeed in this rapidly evolving technology environment.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
