Principal Consultant - Integration & Security Architecture 

Oracle  Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR (On-site)

Oracle Consulting is seeking a senior integration and security architecture specialist to lead the design and delivery of complex, enterprise-scale solutions for customers in Hong Kong. The role will translate business and technology requirements into secure, scalable integration architectures spanning Oracle and non-Oracle applications, hybrid cloud environments, identity platforms, APIs, and legacy middleware. The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical depth with strong solution leadership, guiding customers through architecture decisions, cloud adoption, modernization, and delivery while working closely with consulting, engineering, and customer stakeholders.

Experience & Leadership

Senior Technical Expertise: 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise application integration, middleware architecture, and security architecture.

Solution Design: A proven track record of architecting end-to-end, high-performance integration solutions and translating complex business requirements into practical technical blueprints.

Core Integration Expertise

Integration Cloud: Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying integrations using Oracle and non-Oracle integration tools, including application integration and process automation capabilities.

Integration Patterns: Strong understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns, scheduled orchestrations, event-driven architecture, and file-based data imports.

Adapter Proficiency: Proven experience working with integration adapters, including:

  1. SaaS Adapters: Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle HCM Cloud.

  2. Technology Adapters: REST, SOAP, FTP, Database, and AQ/JMS.

Web Services & Technical Standards

APIs & Protocols: Proficiency in developing and consuming REST and SOAP web services.

Data Formats & Transformations: Expert knowledge of XML and JSON for data mapping and transformation.

Security: Solid understanding of web services security standards, including OAuth 2.0, Basic Authentication, SSL/TLS, and SAML.

Identity Management & SSO (Security Architecture)

Single Sign-On (SSO): Expert knowledge of designing and configuring federated SSO solutions across hybrid environments using protocols such as SAML 2.0 and OAuth 2.0.

Identity Provisioning: Familiarity with user lifecycle management, cross-domain identity management, and integrating Oracle Cloud with external Identity Providers, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

DevOps & Architecture

CI/CD & Version Control: Experience using Git or comparable tools for version control, migration, deployment, and configuration management.

Legacy Middleware: Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic Server or Oracle SOA Suite is advantageous for cloud migration and modernization projects.

Core Programming & Scripting

Java/J2EE: Strong proficiency in Java for developing custom extension components, manipulating complex data structures, and building custom APIs or middleware services.

Python: Experience using Python for automation, data-transformation scripting, RESTful payload management, and cloud infrastructure scripting.

Qualifications

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.
