Senior Operation Program Manager, Amazon Device Solutions
Amazon Device Solutions is looking for a Senior Operations Program Manager to be the primary regional coordination and execution lead across the full set of workstreams - supplier development, transition / NPI, production, commodity, and logistics. This is a build-it, high-ambiguity role: you will define the regional support model, establish the operating and reporting mechanisms, and shape the division of responsibilities with the customer and across functions - then run it. You will lead through influence across GCM, quality, engineering, and logistics owners who retain decision accountability, and be the single point of ownership the customer looks to for regional execution and product-quality readiness at launch.
Key job responsibilities
You might open on the floor at a transition supplier, walking an open defect list on an actuator assembly ahead of a phase gate. Midday a design revision lands, and you work out what it costs in tooling, qualification, and build dates - then frame the tradeoffs for the owner who holds the decision. In the afternoon you run the operating review with the customer's leadership, where the question is which ramp risks need a decision this week. You close on the mechanism that lets next quarter run without you.
About the team
Amazon Device Solutions, building the hardware, software, and content behind a fast-growing digital-signage business. This role supports a strategic robotics partner building humanoid robots.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the single-threaded regional lead across all five workstreams: strategic supplier development, supplier transition / NPI, production supplier management, battery commodity, and logistics.
- Design and stand up the regional support model, operating cadence, and reporting / escalation mechanisms.
- Define - with the customer and regional functional leaders - the division of responsibilities, supplier ownership, negotiation authority, and purchase-order execution interfaces.
- Own the operating review with the customer's leadership; anticipate risks to the ramp and force-multiply across functional teams to resolve them.
- Establish clean handoffs from qualification into ongoing production support, and a staffing / scaling plan as supplier count, workload, and volume grow.
- Drive launch and NPI product-quality readiness across the region - track build-phase quality and open defects through transition into production, hold phase-gate readiness with quality and engineering owners, and escalate risks to the ramp so no product launches with known, unmitigated quality issues.
- Act as the senior escalation and decision-framing point, balancing short-term ramp needs against long-term supplier strategy.
