Summary

As a Senior Engineer in Failure Analysis, you will analyze wafer and package samples using a range of advanced material characterization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed failure analysis using Auger, XPS, SIMS, 4PB, nano-indentation, XRD, and other analytical tools.

  • Interpret and analyze data and prepare reports upon job completion.

  • Document failure analysis findings and root causes.

  • Maintain FA operating procedures, training materials, and certification specifications.

  • Provide FA guidance and support to Fab Operations and TD for process characterization, monitoring, yield improvement, line issues, and customer-returned failure analysis.

  • Develop new failure analysis techniques to support emerging technologies.

  • Ensure FA equipment upkeep, lab safety, and housekeeping standards are maintained.

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or science, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with SIMS, Auger, XPS, and other failure analysis techniques.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and a strong interest in IC failure analysis.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
