As the Senior Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful construction and development of data centers. Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required, with a preference for a master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the data center industry, with a proven track record of leading complex construction projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, project management, and leadership, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools, as well as experience with industry-specific technologies and systems.
  • A deep understanding of data center design, construction, and operational best practices, including knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation.
  • A commitment to professional development and a willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for data center construction projects, ensuring alignment with Oracle's vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with colocation providers to develop and execute project plans, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, meeting Oracle's stringent requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including various Oracle departments, to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Oversee the selection and management of contractors and vendors, ensuring their compliance with Oracle's standards and best practices.
  • Implement robust project management processes, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies, to minimize potential delays or issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to incorporate best practices into project planning.
  • Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates, progress reports, and financial analyses to senior leadership, demonstrating the value and impact of data center construction initiatives.
