Senior Associate, Business Continuity Management
As a Senior Risk Associate in Card Risk, you will support the development, delivery, and iteration of horizontal risk management programs, with a primary focus on Business Continuity Management (BCM). You will serve as a technical point of reference who bridges the gap between enterprise policy and line-of-business (LOB) execution. You will be responsible for ensuring that our resiliency strategies are not just compliant, but optimized for the evolving threat landscape of the Card business.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management & Execution
Design and execute horizontal risk initiatives across Card, ensuring consistency in the Business Continuity program.
Proactively probe existing processes to uncover operational risks and propose enhancements to program roadmaps and strategies.
Consistently produce high-quality risk assessments and data-driven reports, demonstrating autonomy in judgment while knowing when to escalate complex blockers.
Own your development journey, staying ahead of industry trends in BCM and operational resilience to act as a "beacon" for Business partners.
Influence & Communication
Create compelling "stories" via slides and verbal briefings to influence stakeholders and leaders on risk mitigation outcomes.
Act as a technical reference in BCM, providing guidance to Risk Managers, Plan Owners, and Plan Managers and challenging existing thinking to improve Card's stability.
Tailor communication to diverse audiences, from technical teams to Director-level leadership, ensuring clarity and organizational buy-in.
Problem Solving & Judgment
Participate in process assessments and participate in risk evaluations, effectively navigating ambiguity with minimal guidance.
Analyze disparate data points across Card Risk to identify broader trends and impediments, making linkages beyond your immediate scope to drive systemic change.
Challenge existing norms with tact, providing helpful paths to problem-solving rather than just identifying gaps.
Demonstrate sound judgment in determining when an analysis is complete and when a risk requires immediate leadership escalation.
Partnership & Leadership
Partner with internal and external LOB customers to jointly develop resiliency solutions that meet their specific operational needs while maintaining enterprise standards.
Actively lead team meetings and agile standups, pulling people together to build mutuality and leverage the broader network for project success.
Informally coach more junior associates and contribute to the team’s collective toolset and knowledge base.

At least 1 year of Risk Management or Project Management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, or Operational Risk.
