Responsibilities
• Leads advanced cybersecurity research and threat analysis by curating high-quality data sources, researching vulnerabilities, adversary activity, product exploitation risks, and academic/industry findings, and translating complex threat landscape data into actionable insights across teams.
• Drives security analysis planning and cross-functional solution design by aligning research with product timelines, risks, dependencies, and feature scope while partnering across security and non-security teams to prevent, detect, disrupt, and remediate attacks.
• Owns security orchestration, reviews, and incident response by leading large-scale architecture and design reviews, assessing operational security measures, investigating and remediating incidents, conducting root-cause analysis, and identifying protection gaps, trends, and repair actions.
• Develops scalable security solutions and practices by automating detection and response capabilities, improving methods for malware/threat analysis and attack disruption, implementing mitigations for feature areas, incorporating customer and partner feedback, and contributing to security guidelines, models, and standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or related field OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or related field AND 3+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, threat analysis or modeling, cybersecurity, vulnerability research, and/or anomaly detection
OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or related field AND 4+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, threat analysis or modeling, cybersecurity, vulnerability research, and/or anomaly detection
OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
