Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for a talented Security Engineer to join our Buildings business and help deliver intelligent, connected and secure environments for our customers.

As a Security Engineer, you will play an important role in designing sophisticated CCTV, access control and integrated electronic security solutions for a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects. You will work alongside customers, consultants, project teams and other technical specialists to develop solutions that balance security, technology, functionality and commercial requirements.

This is a design-focused engineering role where you will take ownership of security solutions from the early concept and requirements stage through to detailed design and project delivery.

You will develop CCTV and access control designs, produce technical documentation and equipment schedules, undertake site assessments and work with project teams to ensure that the proposed solution can be successfully delivered. You will also provide technical guidance during installation, commissioning and handover, helping ensure the finished system performs as intended.

A key part of the role will be understanding the customer's operational requirements and translating them into practical, scalable and future-ready security solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with modern technologies and contribute to the broader Siemens Smart Infrastructure vision of creating buildings that are safer, smarter and more connected.

We are looking for an engineer or experienced security professional who combines strong technical capability with a practical understanding of electronic security systems.

You will ideally have experience in the design of CCTV and access control systems, together with an understanding of IP networking, security system architecture and building technologies. Experience with security design software such as AutoCAD, VMS platforms, access control systems and integrated building systems will be highly regarded.

You will be comfortable working with customers and technical stakeholders, interpreting drawings and specifications, solving design challenges and producing high-quality engineering documentation. Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and industry requirements will also be advantageous.

At Siemens Smart Infrastructure, you will be part of a global organisation at the forefront of the digital transformation of buildings and infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to work on projects where security, building automation, energy management and digital technology come together, while developing your career within a global technology leader. You will be surrounded by experienced engineers and technical specialists and have the opportunity to work with some of the latest technologies shaping the future of intelligent buildings.

If you are passionate about security technology and enjoy turning complex customer requirements into innovative engineering solutions, we would like to hear from you.

Join Siemens Smart Infrastructure and help us create the secure, intelligent and sustainable buildings of tomorrow.
