Position Summary

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, increasing order intake, and achieving revenue targets across the assigned territories of Iraq, Syria, Libya, and the Levant region. The role requires managing channel partners and key stakeholders, developing new business opportunities, supporting customers with technical expertise, and promoting Siemens' Control Products portfolio, including protection relays, RTUs, power quality meters, and digital fault recorders.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with a solid technical understanding of power system protection and automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth & Business Development

  • Achieve assigned order intake, revenue, and profitability targets across the designated territories.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through effective opportunity management and forecasting.
  • Develop market-driven strategies based on customer needs, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.

Channel Partner Management

  • Manage and expand relationships with channel partners, distributors, system integrators, panel builders, EPC contractors, OEMs, and third-party intermediaries.
  • Identify, onboard, and develop new channel partners to strengthen market coverage and drive growth.
  • Support partners with technical guidance, sales planning, product training, and business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with partners to maximize market penetration and customer engagement.

Customer Engagement

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with end users, consultants, utilities, industrial customers, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and presentations to enhance customer satisfaction and increase market visibility.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide value-driven solutions that address their operational and business needs.
  • Promote customer-centric engagement practices to build long-term partnerships.

Technical Sales Support

  • Provide technical expertise on protection relays, RTUs, power quality meters, digital fault recorders, and associated automation solutions.
  • Advise customers on protection schemes and applications for feeders, transformers, generators, motors, busbars, and substations.
  • Support technical discussions related to IEC 61850, digital substations, process bus architecture, redundancy concepts, cybersecurity, RTU/HMI integration, and power automation systems.
  • Coordinate with local and global technical teams to ensure timely resolution of customer and partner requirements.

Tendering & Proposal Management

  • Support and coordinate tendering activities, including RFQ evaluation, technical clarifications, and bid preparation.
  • Prepare and negotiate commercial and technical proposals in collaboration with proposal management, finance, and execution teams.
  • Ensure proposals meet customer requirements while maintaining compliance with Siemens policies and profitability objectives.

Planning, Reporting & Compliance

  • Utilize Salesforce CRM for opportunity management, forecasting, reporting, and sales planning.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records.
  • Follow defined business processes and ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular market intelligence, competitive insights, and business updates to management.

Marketing & Product Promotion

  • Support product launches, campaigns, and promotional activities within the assigned territories.
  • Organize and participate in customer seminars, technical workshops, conferences, and industry events.
  • Increase market awareness and strengthen Siemens' brand presence through targeted customer engagement activities.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of techno-commercial sales experience within the electrical power, protection, control, or automation industry.
  • Experience in the Middle East region is highly preferred.
  • Arabic speaker is preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in B2B environments.
  • Experience working with channel partners, distributors, EPCs, OEMs, panel builders, and system integrators.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of protection relays, RTUs, power quality meters, digital fault recorders, and power automation solutions.
  • Solid understanding of power system protection principles and applications.
  • Familiarity with digital substations, IEC 61850, SCADA, HMI, communication protocols, process bus architectures, and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Ability to discuss technical solutions confidently with both engineering and commercial stakeholders.

Travel

  • This role requires undertaking regular business travel within the assigned territories to support customers, partners, and business development activities.
