Release/Config Engineer - Release Management Team
Summary
The Asset Release Management team is responsible for managing the intake, testing, qualification, and publication of Siri and Apple Intelligence assets, which includes ML models, voices, and other digital files that are delivered over-the-air to internal and consumer Apple devices.
The team works cross-functionally with Siri and Apple Intelligence development teams, QA, build and integration teams, and engineering project managers to qualify and release both beta and production assets on a near daily basis.

Develop efficient, and maintainable automation code for build and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools
Monitor builds for failures and work with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly.
Continuously evaluate and improve release management practices.
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to best practices
Plan, schedule, and participate in software releases across development, testing, and production environments.
Consistently delivering in line with the defined SLAs for the releases.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hands-on with Git and GitHub, using the Git-flow process to manage code changes across different branches
- Practical experience working with CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, or others
- Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or Kotlin, including proper code testing.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to systematically root cause issues, using Linux level tools, logging, and metrics
- Proactive and persistent in reaching closure on a given task or challenge.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and tasks on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis.
- Ability to articulate and communicate issues to partners (QA teams, Developers, Build and Integration teams) and leadership.
- BS CS or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with database and event driven systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Background in software development and large scale release operations.
