Rate of Pay: $131,000 to $160,000 per year

What you’ll do
- Responsible for managing and optimizing Uber’s retail matching and pricing.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, Regional Operations, Legal, and Finance, ensuring that delivery-time positioning strengthens Uber’s competitiveness while improving cost efficiency through batching and operational optimization.
- Play a key role in balancing user experience with profitability by using delivery times and options as strategic levers to reduce cost per trip and increase gross bookings across global markets.
- May telecommute.
Basic Qualifications
- Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Data Science, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
- Position requires:
- Write and understand SQL to optimize query performance/cost in distributed systems like Presto.
- Python and data libraries to build monitoring tools, perform simulations, and automate processes;
- Build decision-grade dashboards using Tableau;
- Develop custom interactive data applications with Streamlit and Looker;
- Manage A/B and switchback experimentation design, monitoring and evaluating using proprietary Experimentation Platforms;
- Understand marketplace economics, including modeling Price and Supply Elasticity and analyzing the impact of Surge logic on conversion;
- Model technical investments using Sensitivity Analyses to quantify business uncertainty;
- Read and write JSON to audit and modify product configurations in Flipr.
