Meta is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory and Cost Accounting Manager to join our Hardware Accounting team in Menlo Park, CA. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the growth and success of our innovative AI Glasses and VR products ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls. You will leverage your cost accounting knowledge and ERP system experience to build scalable processes that enable business growth, establish comprehensive accounting controls, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. In this role, you will work with limited direction to problem-solve and recommend solutions to ambiguous and emerging problems. Your ability to effectively communicate and translate operational activities into accurate financial data will be critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

Oversee global end-to-end accounting processes and controls with a particular focus on cost and inventory accounting. Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to understand emerging business practices, translating requirements into accurate and scalable accounting processes. Partner with engineering and other cross-functional teams to implement industry-leading, AI enabled accounting solutions. Own month-end close procedures, including subledger management, journal entry and balance sheet reconciliation review. Provide well presented analytical insights that concisely tell the RL story through the preparation of quarterly and ad hoc reporting packages to management. Fulfill internal and external audit requests.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance in Tech, Big-4 or similar CPA or equivalent qualification Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls frameworks Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process and systems improvements Highly collaborative temperament and excellent communication skills Self-starter with superb attention to detail and possesses an understanding of the "big picture" Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy Manufacturing, consumer electronics, or supply chain accounting experience Experience partnering with Operations and Financial Planning Partners Experience in Inventory management or cost accounting Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion ERP and Hyperion Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Compensation: $114,000/year to $167,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
