Siemens Mobility Thailand is looking for a Rail Systems Test & Commissioning Manager for Engineering hub in Bangkok.

The Rail Systems Test & Commissioning Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of railway systems testing, integration, and commissioning, ensuring safe, compliant, and successful transition from construction through operational readiness and final acceptance.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute the overall Test & Commissioning (T&C) strategy, plans, methodologies, schedules, and acceptance criteria, ensuring a structured transition from construction through testing, commissioning, and operational handover.
  • Lead and coordinate all testing phases, including pre-commissioning, static, dynamic, integration, and operational proving, while ensuring compliance with approved procedures, documentation requirements, and formal defect management processes.
  • Manage railway systems integration activities across signalling, train control, telecommunications, SCADA, traction power, rolling stock, track, and associated infrastructure, ensuring technical interfaces, system performance, and operational requirements are successfully validated.
  • Provide oversight of signalling and rail control system testing, including interlocking, train detection, level crossings, and control systems, while ensuring compliance with rail safety standards, risk management requirements, and safety assurance processes.
  • Plan, resource, and coordinate testing and commissioning activities across multiple work fronts, contractors, facilities, possessions, and access-restricted environments to support efficient project delivery.
  • Maintain robust stakeholder engagement, governance, and reporting by leading test readiness reviews, commissioning meetings, documentation control, progress reporting, and coordination with project teams, operators, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver and maintain all Test & Commissioning governance, planning, and execution documents, including the T&C Strategy, Management Plan, integrated schedules, test procedures, specifications, system integration plans, readiness reviews, and commissioning plans.
  • Successfully achieve testing, commissioning, and operational acceptance milestones through completion of integrated testing, operational proving, reliability demonstrations, defect resolution, commissioning certification, test acceptance records, and final handover documentation.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Test & Commissioning organization by providing technical leadership, mentoring, resource planning, contractor management, and fostering a strong culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and systems engineering across project stakeholders.

Use your skills to move the world forward

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of railway systems testing and commissioning activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement testing, integration, and commissioning strategies, plans, and schedules.
  • Ensure railway systems are tested, integrated, and commissioned safely and in compliance with project, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Manage interfaces across engineering, construction, signalling, rolling stock, telecommunications, power, track, and control systems.
  • Oversee system integration, operational readiness, defect resolution, and acceptance activities.
  • Drive the safe and successful transition from construction and installation through commissioning, handover, and final operational acceptance.
  • Based in Bangkok with frequent travel to project sites in Singapore.
