What will you do?
Join our team as a Quotation Specialist! you will play a key role in the Canadian Electrical product business by developing proposals for Siemens low voltage portfolio, collaborating with Siemens affiliates and third-party partners. This role serves a broad range of clients, including industrial, healthcare, commercial, cloud service provider, residential markets, among others, reporting functionally to the Quotation Supervisor. This role is pivotal in providing technical support for both pre-sales and post-sales engagements. You will be passionate about exceeding customer expectations and working with a sense of urgency. Your role will involve:
- The analysis of customer requirements and relating these requirements to the application using the Electrical Products product portfolio
- Working closely with Siemens Sales Organization and Siemens Solution Partners, to demonstrate
- technical features and benefits of Siemens Electrical Products portfolio
- Your understanding of our value-added service offerings are paramount in partnering with customers to further understand their needs in order to provide them with a technical Consultative solution
- Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Understand customer’s technical requirements and develop Bill of Material of products and work with Siemen’s factories to develop final quotation
- Answer Customer’s Technical questions and provide necessary Technical and commercial clarifications
- Ability to handle multiplier projects at the same time and co-ordinate with vendors, internal and
- external customers
- Ability to read single line diagrams and understand Electrical Terminology/specifications and translate this to the quote preparation
- Technically represent and interface with Siemens affiliates and Competence center on complex customer projects
- Engage with our target market segments and continually work to improve technical skills and knowledge
- Prepare project hand over documentation and support order managements during project execution.

What will you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication skills and adaptability to change
- Customer oriented and proactive in addressing needs
- Strong experience working in electrical distribution
- Proficient in interpreting Single Line Diagrams and complex technical specifications (5 years)
- 5 years of experience in preparing compliant quotations, leveraging in -depth knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and NEMA standards.
- Skilled in managing and contributing to all phases of the quotation process, ensuring timely and effective project proposals.
Bilingualism requirement
The successful candidate for this position must be bilingual. Fluency in French and English (verbal and written) is required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position for the following reason(s):
- The role requires interacting with English-speaking customers and suppliers across Canada and/or internationally;
- The role requires regular interactions with Siemens colleagues based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally;
- The role requires using software or technology that is available only in English;
- The role requires liaising with foreign regulatory and governmental agencies based in the United States and/or Europe;
