Amazon Global Logistics is a team of logistics professionals, carrier specialists, and program managers focused on improving the speed, reliability, and cost of Amazon's cross-border supply chain. The team executes the movement of freight from global manufacturing hubs into Amazon's international marketplaces — serving Retail, Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) sellers, and new transportation products. Beyond operating today's network, the team builds new logistics capabilities, drives cost-to-serve reduction, and deploys AI and automation to transform how cross-border freight moves at scale.

We are hiring a Program Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of ocean freight across Retail, FBA, and new transportation lanes — from roadmap definition through execution. You will build and manage a portfolio of initiatives spanning cost optimization, network expansion, and new product launches. You will drive planning across Product, Ocean, Customs, and Destination Ops teams to meet SLA and cost-per-unit targets — and regularly lead business reviews with senior leaders to align priorities and unblock execution. The role operates at the intersection of strategy and operations: defining how we scale reliable, cost-efficient ocean logistics while managing carrier relationships, cross-team dependencies, and network constraints in real time.

You will need a strong analytical background, the ability to make data-driven decisions across multiple programs, and the discipline to lead through influence rather than authority. You should be comfortable thinking strategically about supply chain initiatives — including identifying opportunities for AI-driven process improvement and automation — while executing at the operational level. You should be able to build consensus with senior leaders on objectives and trade-offs.

This role requires up to 15% travel to Amazon network facilities and on-site visits with carriers and logistics service providers.

Key job responsibilities
• Build and manage a portfolio of initiatives spanning cost-to-serve optimization, network expansion, and new product launches — from roadmap through execution.

• Drive cost reduction through LSP efficiency improvements, mode optimization (benchmarking lead time, cost, and emissions), and operational charge elimination.

• Partner with Product and Tech teams to evaluate, develop, and launch new transportation programs that improve seller experience and reduce cost-to-serve.

• Identify and deploy AI and automation opportunities to transform operational processes — from forecasting and capacity planning to carrier management and reporting.

• Design and maintain capacity risk frameworks across operating units and sites — defining triggers, escalation paths, and forecast accuracy standards.

• Coordinate across internal functions (Controllership, Finance, Operations Center, Global Trade Services) to ensure aligned execution with carriers and customers.

• Lead business and planning reviews with senior leaders to align priorities, surface trade-offs, and unblock execution.

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
