The Program Manager, Protective Services Finance & Operations serves as an individual contributor responsible for managing financial operations, and operational programs across Protective Services (PS). This role bridges day-to-day financial execution with the development of scalable operational playbooks that can be adopted by PS business units. This role requires financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to influence without direct authority.

The ideal candidate thrives in a small, high-impact team, is energized by building order from complexity, and is comfortable operating as both a hands-on executor and a strategic thinker who identifies opportunities to centralize and standardize where the business sees value.

Key job responsibilities
Financial Operations
  • Work with leadership to understand, track, and report on budget allocation and utilization across PS programs
  • Monitor and analyze spending patterns (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and surface anomalies or optimization opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports on expenditure and budget availability
  • Collaborate with corporate finance partners to ensure alignment with company financial processes
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and spending optimizations
  • Support financial planning activities and operational expense forecasting
  • Provide oversight and governance for distributed finance support activities across PS
Fleet & Asset Programs
  • Support fleet management programs and policy development
  • Track fleet-related expenses and metrics
  • Navigate cross-functional approval processes and advocate for operational needs through influence and relationship building
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
Operational Rhythm & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Contribute to operational planning inputs (OP1/OP2)
  • Support leadership meetings
  • Serve as a cross-functional liaison between teams and PS business units
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort in recurring operational workflows

Global Standards and Services (GSS) centralizes business operations, governance frameworks, and performance standards across Protective Services (PS), enabling decentralized execution with consistent quality, data-driven insights, and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
