Snapshot of Your Day
You start your day by preparing the agenda for today’s Steering Committee.
You convene this committee at regular intervals to make strategic decisions and further develop your product vision.
Afterwards, you review newly created master data, approve it, and ensure its proper distribution.
In the afternoon, you meet with colleagues from a processing department to discuss their new requirements. You present possible solutions and add
these new work packages to the product backlog to discuss them with your stakeholders.
Later, you meet with several power users to go over the upcoming work packages and review the new version of the software to prepare it for release.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
• Be part of an international development team working in the HVDC and FACTS domain, with primary responsibility for maintaining and further developing the engineering tool Engineering Base for the global SE organization.
• Ensure the successful rollout and effective use of Engineering Base across the business as an application expert.
• Act as a bridge between business units and external developers, testing new features and sharing user feedback
• Create and maintain global master data libraries and coordinate new functionalities with internal and external partners
• Plan, test, and roll out new software versions
• Support users, maintain documentation and training materials, and deliver training sessions to ensure sustainable tool adoption.
We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:
• University degree in electrical engineering and have multiple years of relevant professional experience in hardware engineering
• Several years of proven experience with Engineering Base or comparable CAD applications – alternatively, you have experience as a tool
• product owner, particularly in strategically managing a feature backlog and coordinating with collaborators
• Good understanding of data structuring and high-level experience with database systems
• You have a solid understanding of the electrical engineering domain – ideally backed by several years of hands-on experience
• Fluency in English both written and spoken, German will be an added advantage.
