About Siemens

Siemens is a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. At Siemens, our people are our most important asset — join us in shaping the future.

Description

You’ve built a foundation and you’re ready for more ownership. As a Product Designer II at Siemens, you’ll lead the design of features and flows within a product area — driving decisions from discovery through delivery. You’ll partner more independently with product managers and engineers, advocate for users with confidence, and contribute meaningfully to your team’s design quality. This role is suited to designers with 3–5 years of experience ready to operate with greater autonomy.

You’ll make an impact by

Own end-to-end design of features and user flows within a product area, from problem definition through design specs and handoff

Conduct evaluative research — usability testing, heuristic evaluations, competitive analysis, and prototype testing to validate and sharpen develop decisions

Design at multiple fidelities: concepts, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-ready specs

Apply and give to the established design system, proposing new patterns when existing components don’t meet user needs

Collaborate with product managers to develop problem definitions and invent briefs, challenging assumptions constructively

Partner with engineers during implementation to maintain design integrity and resolve tradeoffs proactively

Facilitate design reviews and small workshops; present work clearly to non-design stakeholders

Maintain rigorous accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA minimum) across all deliverables

Collaborate constructively with cross-functional peers.

AI at Siemens — How This Role Uses & Builds AI

Every role at Siemens is expected to work with AI and contribute to how we build AI-powered products. In this role you will:

Actively use AI-powered design tools to accelerate prototyping, automate repetitive design tasks, and explore a wider solution space faster

Contribute UX design to AI-powered features — defining how AI outputs, recommendations, and automation are presented to users in a clear, trustworthy way

Apply responsible AI design patterns: explain confidence levels, surface uncertainty, design graceful failure states for model errors

Experiment with generative AI in your design workflow and share practical learnings with your team

Partner with product managers and engineers to define AI feature requirements from a user experience perspective

This is how you'll win us over

3-5 years of professional experience in product design, UX design, or interaction design

Strong proficiency in Figma; able to produce well-structured, component-driven design files

Demonstrated ability to own design end-to-end: from research and ideation through delivery and QA

Experience working with or contributing to a design system

Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and ability to implement them in practice

Ability to communicate design rationale effectively to product, engineering, and business stakeholders

Portfolio showing owned design work with clear evidence of process and impact

Nice to Have

Experience designing for complex enterprise or B2B software products

Familiarity with a mature enterprise design system

Exposure to data visualization, dashboard design, or industrial/IoT domain

Experience conducting usability testing and synthesizing findings into actionable design changes

Basic HTML/CSS knowledge to improve engineering collaboration
