What you'll doThe Oracle Time and Labor Consultant is responsible for the configuration, administration, support, and continuous improvement of Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) solutions. This role serves as a functional and technical resource, supporting global workforce timekeeping, absence management, workforce scheduling structures, and labor reporting requirements. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders, support teams, and technical resources to troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and implement scalable solutions that align with organizational policies and operational objectives.
The day-to-dayKey Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and enhance Oracle Time and Labor functionality, including time entry, approvals, work structures, work orders, WBS elements, and labor reporting.
- Administer and support global time-off policies, leave plans, absence management configurations, and country-specific compliance requirements.
- Serve as the primary support resource for Oracle Time and Labor incidents, service requests, and operational inquiries.
- Translate business requirements into effective system configurations and technical solutions.
- Perform issue triage, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, testing, and resolution management for Oracle Time and Labor-related incidents.
- Participate in operational reviews, monitor service health, and prioritize work queues to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end users to improve system usability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain reports, support documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and training materials.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, governance, and organizational standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for process optimization and enhanced user experience.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting and configuring Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), Oracle HCM Cloud Time and Labor, or related Oracle Workforce Management solutions.
- Experience configuring time entry rules, approvals, work schedules, labor costing, work orders, WBS structures, and absence management processes.
- Knowledge of global workforce management practices, leave policies, and country-specific labor and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system configurations and technical solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting application issues, conducting root cause analysis, and driving issue resolution through completion.
- Strong understanding of incident management, service request management, and operational support processes.
- Experience creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
- Familiarity with Oracle HCM modules such as Absence Management, Core HR, Payroll, and Workforce Management is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed, and customer-focused support environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) processes and tools such as ServiceNow is preferred.

$141,000.00 - $223,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $175,500.00- $263,500.00/ annually
