Position Responsibilities:

Lead a geographically distributed team responsible for the strategic planning, installation, and successful launch of large-scale industrial automation technologies across Amazon's expanding fulfillment network. Manage and mentor a team of on-site project managers responsible for complex robotics and automation deployments across multiple locations. Provide technical oversight for the installation of Amazon-designed automation equipment, including robotic systems, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, network configurations, and software integration. Partner with stakeholders across Amazon Fulfillment Technology & Robotics engineering, safety teams, product strategy, software development, supply chain, third-party installers, contracted deployment engineers, construction teams, and internal operations customers. Guide projects from initial planning through successful go-live, with project durations ranging from several days to multiple months. Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and network systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, or a related field and five years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have five years of experience in the following skills: (1) experience managing large-scale geographically distributed teams; (2) leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups in complex technical environments; (3) hands-on experience troubleshooting robotics technology and systems or other related electro-mechanical and networked systems; (4) resolving technical escalations throughout the deployment lifecycle, including quality hand-off, live order testing, site acceptance testing, operational readiness testing, and ongoing system performance monitoring; (5) working with PLCs, SCADA systems, and network infrastructure in industrial environments; (6) interpreting and working with technical drawings and CAD models (both mechanical and electrical) for deployment, maintenance, and support activities; (7) managing installation projects in operational fulfillment or manufacturing environments; (8) experience using project management and supply management tools and software; and (9) managing Bills of Material (BOM), deployment work instructions, and project task management systems. Up to 75% domestic and international travel to perform role responsibilities may be required.
