Title and Summary
Manager, People Business Partner
The People & Capability team is seeking a Manager, People Business Partner to join Mastercard's North Latin America & Caribbean (North LAC) Division.
As a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, this role will drive talent outcomes, organizational effectiveness, leadership capabilities, and employee experience. The successful candidate will help translate enterprise people strategies into meaningful local action while supporting business growth and fostering a culture aligned with The Mastercard Way.
This position operates in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment and works closely with People Business Partners, Centers of Expertise, People Services, and business leaders to deliver innovative and impactful people solutions across the region. The scope of support may evolve based on business priorities and organizational needs.

The Role
  • Partner with business leaders to execute people strategies that support business objectives, organizational effectiveness, and team performance.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on leadership effectiveness, talent development, workforce planning, employee engagement, change management, and organizational design.
  • Support leaders in building inclusive, high-performing teams aligned with The Mastercard Way.
  • Deliver key People & Capability processes, including talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, and year-end compensation planning.
  • Partner with leaders to identify critical talent needs, development priorities, and succession opportunities.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen leadership capability and organizational health across North LAC.
  • Coach managers and employees on people-related matters, balancing business priorities with an employee-centric approach.
  • Support employee relations matters and help ensure fair, consistent, and compliant people practices.
  • Leverage employee insights and feedback to identify opportunities to improve engagement and workplace experience.
  • Partner closely with Centers of Expertise and People Services teams to successfully implement enterprise-wide programs and initiatives.
  • Share local market intelligence and employee insights to help shape and improve people strategies.
  • Contribute to regional and global projects that enhance culture, leadership, talent, and organizational effectiveness
All About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Experience as an HR Business Partner, People Business Partner, or in a comparable strategic HR role within a multinational organization.
  • Experience supporting leaders across multiple countries, business units, or functions in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Strong understanding of talent management, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and labor practices with the ability to assess risk and provide practical business guidance.
  • Strong consulting, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively challenge and coach leaders.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Enterprise mindset with a track record of collaborating across teams, functions, and geographies.
  • Passion for developing talent, strengthening leadership capability, and creating an inclusive workplace culture.
